She has to insist that the Bria Valente face book page is not run by her in any way or form

Andy has a fb page and so does Shelby and just about everyone else on that damn stage with Prince but somehow she can't just have a facebook page, be upfront and just post songs that have not yet been released and talk about what she really is up to and planning for the future.

It is like she jumped through every stupid hoop and twisted herself in prezel shapes and ended up in the end with less than the other females in his life. The only good thing was that Target paid her directly for her work and "Bria got paid" is what Prince told Tavis therefore she is not another person that is waiting forever for Prince to pay her what she thought she was getting.

She sounds like a smart cookie 2 me! Still liked her album 2..

This pic always reminded me of Amy Winehouse.

If she was even smarter she would have gotten in some promo deals so at least the larger public outside of prince's fans, would know who she is. Had she done some interviews here and there maybe she might have appealed to an audience interested in top heavy woman but not all that interested in Prince.

Obviously the requirements 4 Prince giving her that big debut is that she couldn't do any other interviews or promotions witH ANYBODY. He had to have total say so of everything she did. So when he is ready for her to step out in2 the world he had to have the control over her career or else no big debut. So what she get out of it? A number 2 album in the US & a big payday....

I think Bria had her fifteen minutes and this is the end of the road... My heart goes out to the Galateas of the world... Even though they should know better.

Also. just listened to her sound on some YT clips from Elixir. She's good. I also rewatched the Tavis Smiley interview. Her voice (speaking voice) is very sweet. She seems genuinely friendly, sweet, and nice. I found more info re she and Prince, and now I am not convinced they were/are anything other than musical collaborators. Ann Powers of the LA Times wrote a piece about her surreal meet-up with Prince a few years ago and said there was NO sign Prince and Bria were in a romantic relationship. When at a club, Prince carefully seated the journalist between himself and Bria. He distanced himself from her. There was little to no physical contact, etc. They did not appear on Tavis Smiley together. They HAVE been seen at a few events, but to me, that could just as easily mean that is part of his plan to promote a talent he believes in. As I think it was with Misty Copeland and the Oscars.

I admit the celibacy thing is far fetched, but I am completely confused by this man. It really does seem he is a great friend and mentor to talented female singers/musicians, but as to what else that means, that is all speculation about what the fans want him to be (a virile, sexy beast), not who he is (e.g., religious and ???).

Yuu can see quite a lot of her boobs in that rapper's music video from some years ago. Can't remember who it was, but it's been on youtube. They could be real imo, but also very likely that they aren't.

Yeah, don't know either. But ALL these girls are under tremendous pressure in Hollywood to have it all, including a knockout figure. That's just sad.

I take back what I said earlier...she looked prettier on Tavis Smiley than in some of the photos posted here. And the album is Elixer, not Elixir (I think I said Elixir earlier). And she really has talent, unlike many out there who are 'making it'.

She was Vanity V10.0. I did enjoy her CD but if that's all we're going to get then so be it!

You know, I have never thought Bria was a serious love interest. I have never been convinced. I think she wanted more but I don't think Prince ever saw her as anything but a friend/business associate. I just never got that feeling about them.

I was puzzled by how long she was associated with him. But I never thought he was attracted to her.

I guess it is just the size issue, but she just didn't seem like his type, petite and very femininely pretty. Bria reminded me of Katherine Hepburn type like a giraffe, majestic and tall where it seems Prince's type was more Elizabeth Taylor type... you know, sex kitten.

Agreed. It's just not adding up. On Tavis, never once did she refer to their relationship as anything other than a professional collaboration. Nor has he that I can find. The closest to that was when, in a summer of 2010 interview...he was asked if they were 'still' together, which he (Prince) answered with: "Self interest is on the back burner". Make of that what you will.
