I'm not sure why she describes Milk & Honey as an 80's album, but never mind.

It will be cool is she does tour.

Thanks for posting.

Thanks for posting.

I definitely hear 80's elements ("Sunday in the Park") but wouldn't personally describe it as such (the whole album).

Initially I was gonna write more of a Milk & Honey vs. My Name Is Tamar piece, but I reconsidered and thought that even if I happen to have a soft spot for M&H (because it's what made me a fan of hers and because of the Prince sound, of course), My Name Is Tamar really is still a solid album, which I enjoy. To take focus off her current project to put it on something that's not likely to ever see the light of day (officially) just seemed unnecessary.

Thanks veronikka, penny, phunk!

Phunk, I actually went to school for writing (playwriting, not journalism), not painting. Things turned out that painting stuck...but as of late the writing has made a comeback. biggrin

Nice job, John. She seems quite down-to-earth,

and I found it interesting that she says she'd work with Prince again.

Good stuff! I like your questions.

I am enjoying her new cd but I still miss her with Prince. Milk and Honey is still my favorite of hers.

I think a musical remake of Mohoghany is a fantastic idea too and I hope that big things continue to happen for Ms. Tamar.

Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

Damn, she could SO get it! Speaking of that video single "Heartbeat", she fuck around with me, I'll end up giving her an extra heartbeat, growin' right in that stomach there! LMAO!! Yep, yep...she'd be having a brotha's baby from just the one time.

Anyway, great interview, John. lol

nicely done! And I'm digging her new stuff more than her last cd. Much fresher sounding...and she sounds better singing it.

I'm so bored I will make a point of going on a page I have no interest in to make sure everyone knows just HOW bored I am cause I am bored and have nothing better to do with my time than post a bored emoticon, which really proves I am terribly bored by the post I had no interest in to begin with.

You know the US market is very very picky with the type of musical direction she's gone in. If youre not doing generic R&B and your a young black female, you're gonna get ignored. I think she's have more success if you moved to London and exploited the UK market and its entryways into other areas of Europe.

Change it one more time..
