Mazarati Set List Question

Checking out a Sheila E./BrownMark/Mazarati live clipof "America" that's funky as hell -- dare I say better than The Revolution's take on it.

Curious -- anyone know what songs they were doing before joining the Prince camp and what songs they had in the set after Mark and Prince took over? Other than their album cuts I think they also would do "Head"...

Question

My son loves them. Too bad he was a baby when they had came out. Now that he's in his 20's he's like truly trying to find their stuff.

One thing I like about what was starting to happen as far as the proteges were concerned in 1985/86 was the song connection with Prince Sheila E did certain Prince songs and Mazarati did certain Prince songs: Head & America being 2

I think their take on America was just different I don't think it was funkier than the Revolution Parade tour expression. I think Mazarati w/Sheila E & Eddie M was almost more hard rock,

I love the America introduction during the Purple Rain tour in 1985 that was like 12 min and moving 100mph

I love the 12" extended version

I love the poppier Parade version

and I love the France live concert/video version

all 4 are just so different

and I love hearing Sheila E w/band and BrownMark doing America at one of her shows this year

Champagne Saturday is an instrumental B-side cut from their Paisley Park release too

People are over using "like" so much that they are actually adding it to written sentences?
