really digging "perfect stranger". I do kinda wish Lisa had sung "Water to the Wave" only because I miss hearing her voice up front. Not to take away from Wendy's singing of it...it just feels so ...Lisa.

I've run it a few times while at work, gotta say my only beef is I'm ready for more and then it loops back to the first song.

I think that's part of the magic of that track, the combination of Lisa's melodic phrasing & wordplay with Wendy's beautiful vocal interpretation sends this into the "zone". It caught me emotionally the first time I heard it...totally unexpected, but not surprising given the emotional depths they continue to mine with their work. I so cannot wait for the next full length album that they're working on now!

I've been grooving on SNAPSHOTS for the past several days now. music That funky instrumental "Time" is my personal favorite. "Water To The Wave" comes a close second.

Folks should go out and get a copy or two smile http://www.wendyandlisa.com/snapshots

I rediscovered Wendy & Lisa's music over a year ago, by chance really. Their new EP makes me happy that I did. It's some good stuff cool

Hmmm, ok well the file was a zip file, so it needed unzipping first, the tracks are inside that. If you dragged the zip file into iTunes, nothing would happen. It's also possible the download crapped out half-way through, sometimes happens.

I suggest redownloading the file and unzipping it.

BTW, you might want to download the lossless files instead, better quality and future-proofed. The files are bigger, but if you download apple lossless (which they have), you can 1-click convert them to smaller files in iTunes, but you still have the better quality files for future use smile

I'll give it a shot...Thanks!

Turns out I had a bum router...new one installed yesterday and was able to download these fab tracks finally. Love it. Time and Wave to Water are def my faves, but I can already tell Sanpshots will just grow more beautiful with time. Thanks girls! cool

I am still completely digging Water To The Wave! As I have said before, as soon as I heard it, the song became one of my favorite Wendy & Lisa songs! I also love Lemon Chiffon... especially, towards the end where Lisa is playing the keyboard that sounds like an organ. It reminds me of something that you would hear in church! It is very celestial.

Just a reminder to people, I have a Wendy & Lisa news blog (run by myself and not them). You can read my review of Snapshots here: http://www.wendyandlisane...gspot.com/

It is great having new music from them! YAY!!!!

What a wonderful group of songs to release. Brings back so many memories of back in the day when we used to try to figure out the names of these little known boots. Now they happily indulge us with these beauties, not only with titles, but the story behind them.....keeps saying I love u

The Compromise Theory:
Based on my analysis, I believe the government faked the plane crash and demolished the WTC North Tower with explosives.
The South Tower, in a simultaneous but unrelated plot was brought down by actual terrorists.

I finally got round to listening to this despite having it since day 1. I love it. The mix of styles is great and does not sound disjointed at all. The track flows really well.

Perfect Stranger is a great little track to kick it off with, and I think it just gets better - I loved Time from the first few seconds, Water To Wave is great, the almost drum and bass ambient ending; sublime, sets you up great for Rosalyn, which is almost like a William Orbit production to begin with smile

In fact the whole thing is sublime - sublime and understated. Wonderful. cool

Edit: Lemon Chiffon..... drool

According to Twitter, they are beginning to package the physical CDs & booklets for shipping. I'm really looking forward to getting the booklet & photography book. It's a pretty cool idea! Lisa takes really good pictures, so I am interested in finding out what she & Wendy included. I also would love to hear Lisa sing Water To The Wave. Maybe one day... whenever they have a Girl Bros Radio, Lisa will sing it for us.

Don't let your hatred of Wendy supercede your love of Lisa. Go out and get this release. Ms. Coleman has to pay her bills too, lol

"Perfect Stranger" was alright, but I prefer Wendy & Lisa when they bring in the funk/r&b. fro But all in all, this was a good EP.

I know this is off-topic but what a cool coincidence this is:

Liz Brixius and Linda Wallem were romantic partners who broke up, then did a few pilots together, and now are good friends as well as co-creators and showrunners for Showtime’s dark comedy Nurse Jackie.

I don't see it as being all that unusual. There are plenty of folks who work with their exes and manage to get along. I guess some other examples in the entertainment industry be members of the Eurythmics & Fleetwood Mac. Truth be told, I had no idea Wendy and Lisa were a couple or even gay until fairly recently.

If two people can keep a friendship thriving long after the romance is over, then good for them. thumbs up!

I do--but then I can't be in the next room with any of my exes. lol
