Mint Condition?

Wanted to hear their music and i'd have been happy to, if their Myspace page wasn't launching TWO different tracks at the same time, that you can't stop, and none of 'em are even from the page's player (if you click "play" that's THREE tracks playing at the same time).

Goddamn AMATEURS!!! sad

So i'm gonna see these people on stage next july, who are they? What's their music like? Do they play TWO or THREE songs at the same time on stage like on their Myspace or is is listenable?

Thanks.

Just looked them up on YouTube, not sure if it was the two songs I picked, but they seemd very R'n'B-lite or something. Do they mostly play soppy ballads with that kind of keyboard that just grates??
Not sure how they'll go down with a European audience.

Please don't take what I said about them as criticism, they seem very talented. I only had a chance to listen to a couple of their songs cos I've been flat out at work all day.

I've genuinely never heard of them, as far as I know they haven't made inroads over this side of the Atlantic.
I'm looking forward to seeing them live and I'm sure all the support acts will be given a great reception. Just hopethey hold back on the ballads is all, we want some funk! wink

Please, either go back and listen to their records or refrain from commenting on them. Its embarrassing to those of us who actually DO know their material.

Truth of the matter is a lot of their hit songs are ballads but
when you see them live they don't bore you. They amp the ballads
up. They won't put you to sleep like Atlantic Starr would.

If you are one of the folks that got pulled out of the (white) pop music consumer group by Prince in the nineties, or are still in your twenties, then it could very well be you never heard of MC before. They only had a minor hit in the R&B charts in Europe with "You Send Me Swinging". Check them out though before you go to the gig. Great music, great education, and as you will see a great band! Enjoy.

Yes and unlike Prince who will be somewhere in Europe with the europeans, MC is coming this summer to our town.

Reel

Yep, most of Mint Condition's top hits were in fact ballads. But those dudes can sing their butts off. "You Send Me Swinging" was a great hit. I know for a fact that Europe has appreciated some R&B singing acts, so I doubt that very many people in Europe will be disappointed.

Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that?
