Thread on this in 'Non-Prince' forum.

Many are going. Including me. I'm not going for Prince though. Larry is a legend in his own right.

I'd actually prefer it if Prince were not present. I think they work fine as a 'double-bill' but sharing a main stage together is just not the right dynamic. Maybe an aftershow, but nothing else.

As for 'Watchtowers' I'm sure the Kingdom Hall in Camden has those. And in my experience Larry preaches less than Prince. In fact, I don't think I've ever heard him overtly 'witness'.

I'm interested in the music. Larry Graham is respected in many quarters as a legendary bass-player withouty any reference or relation to Prince.

The Larry bashing on Prince org will never stop. Luckily, this is something of a microcosm.

There is a gulf between how some Prince fans regard Larry and how he is perceived musically in bass-player publications, Sly Stone fans etc.

Yes, his Wife is a little eccentric ... but hopefully it will only be for that relatively brief 'towel' number. smile

As for comments about Larry's religion I'm bored of it. I wouldn't care if he was a blood sacrificing devotee of a vengeful Mayan god.

Hope you all enjoy the show. Given that Prince and Larry have been closed friends for over a decade now, I doubt that Prince will NOT show up but I do doubt that he'll get up on stage.
