Sheena Easton Ok it's time to talk about Sheena E. This lady is bad and by that I mean wonderful. I love everything she touches and she is more beautiful today than ever. Let's talk about Sheena E. her work with and without Prince are some of my favs of all time. Her voice and look are inspiring for young singers today. What do u guys think about this lady? I've been a big-time Sheena fan since I was a kid. I have all of her music and have seen her perform live many times. I wish she wasn't retired from recording music though.

I love the songs Lover in me, Strut, and of course For your Eyes only. I think her and Prince would fit together again with music. I love the song Arms of Orion and Sugar Walls. [Edited 3/8/10 15:07pm] Proverbs 23:9

"The Lover in Me" I like that one by Sheena Easton. It was produced by L.A. Reid and Babyface.

80s R&B/pop/dance song of the day: "The Lover In Me" by Sheena Easton (1988)
'The Lover In Me' is her strongest, most consistent album.Featuring some of the best songs that LA and Babyface ever produced. It also includes two excellent Prince-produced tracks.

Funny this thread just came up. I just got A Private Heaven the album with Strut and Sugar Walls on it and it rocks. Sheena was quite cool during the 80's when she became dirty.

I love Sheena's music from the 80s. It's a shame her career fizzled when the 90s hit.

When I first heard "Sugar Walls" on the radio, the DJ announced the artist as Sheena E. and I could have sworn he said Shelia E. because I couldn't believe this was the same lady that recorded "Morning Train" a few years earlier. Andy is a four letter word.

lol, there was alot of confusion when this song first came out.My sister told me "Sheila E. has a great new song,it's called "Sugar Walls" I once got into a pretty heated argument with this girl who INSISTED it was Sheila E who sang Sugar Walls...it was so frustrating because I knew she was wrong but she wouldn't believe me so finally I just gave up trying to convince her that it was actually Sheena.

I went to a New Years Eve concert at Glam Slam Minneapolis (1994?1995?) and Sheila E and St Paul were playing and there was some guy in the front row yelling "Sheena, Sheena" half the night. It was so embarassing! TRUE BLUE

I would love to get some of her early catalogue on CD - Sheena Easton, You Could Have Been With Me, Madness Money and Music, Private Heaven - but those prices are through the roof! Just have to be happy with my LPs for now.
Love Sheena Easton. Stand at the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths...(Jeremiah 6:16) www.ancientfaithradio.com

I thought I was the only one who loved Sheena Easton. I love both her pre and post Prince work. I'm still surprised how after the huge success of "The Lover In Me" that her career started tanking right afterward.
