BOOK REVIEW....

One persons opinion of "Blame it on Vanity"

"The devil’s perversities snatched up what little strength that lay within me, seeping and sneaking through, preferably choosing their way into my joints, branding and searing my lungs and oh so much torment from scraping away at my own flesh. He waited patiently for the reading of my obituary. I was unrelenting, unreasonably lost, suffocating in dumbfoundedness, further seeking pleasure in a round glass bottle full of vitriolic venom, which slid me into depression beyond blockades. I should have been thoroughly engulfed in an ocean of careful wondrous dreams with the whole Kingdom beset before me, however my ocean thrust me against the rocks and ripped my sour soul in two, thus rendering my upper half to a tornado and with my lower, i lowered myself to that of a squatting dog, dare i say sucking up his own vomit."

She is refering to Prince as the devil. She was caught up with him. She wanted more, and he was ignoring her; she was yelling for attention. When she writes "scraping of away at my own flesh" , the wording makes me think she was cutting herself, depression? Still, Prince ignored her wanting something more, she was suicidal. I believe this evident in this sentence "He waited patiently for the reading of my obituary." Prince probably said peace. Vanity didn't kill herself; although, she was caught in infatuation,stuck around "I was unrelenting, unreasonably lost, suffocating in dumbfoundedness, further seeking pleasure in a round glass bottle full of vitriolic venom, which slid me into depression beyond blockades." She could no longer her hide depression from everyone, it had begun to take over by this time. She felt she entitled to more than what was given. Prince was her "ocean of careful wondrous dreams" . She believes, she should have had Prince to herself, also more success "the whole Kingdom beset before me" , Vanity was looking for a fairy tale ending with Prince, really her Prince and her the superstar pop princess.

This whole last part is a big ass typo. Anyway, her fairytale she so badly wanted slid through her hands. She got caught up in a storm of infatuation with Prince. She let herself get played by Prince. She let herself be disrespected by Prince, because she knew he was going to stop bullshitting, one day. She lost some of her self worth because it played out so publicy. Though, I do not get sucking up the vomit completely. That could have been better said by writing I am down, out and until this very day I this won't pass the stomach and out the bowel because of what i've gone through is known to most of the world. I try to become a evangelist, people still bring this up as I get to digesting and almost, almost put behind me. I have to look back at it again. This time i'll purge myself, on my terms and I kinda need the money too.

SO FUKKING OVERWRITTEN ITS KILLING ME, she needs to write it over, nobody but me is going to take the time to understand this lol. Her story is not worth $45 dollars and this happend time and time again. Sounds like Effie White lol.

That's sorta my thought.

I can understand if she wanted to revise the book so that it didn't have a negative spin on things that sounded like a grudge.

But jeez, she must have discarded entire chapters. Can't imagine what fluff would be in the place of "intimate details".

Vanity came to rehearsal ... Jesus, I try my best to look normal around the band and then she shows up like that. A year ago, I would have been ashamed at her cackling, throwing those fucking Prince dance moves and hanging off my neck while I was trying to play. Her eyes were fucked ... she must have been freebasing all night. I told her to shut the fuck up and she got in my face and asked what I was gonna do.
What could I do? I just turned and walked out of rehearsal. Left her there with the guys in the band.
TOMMY LEE: There was something real crazy about Vanity. She would just turn up at a rehearsal and jump up on a road case and start dancing randomly, out of nowhere. We'd be trying to rehearse and Vanity would be doing this strange little burlesque show. When I first met her, she seemed cool, but then it all changed...
Nikki and I were freebasing a little back then. Vanity was into that as well, and Nikki claimed she got him started on it. But Sixx is a big boy -- he can't blame Vanity; it was his doing. Back then Sixx was like a big spider's web, and he would bring others into his little fucking dark world. They would either a) never leave, or b) get so fucked up they would panic, get out of there and leave him to it.

I remember reading that Nikki Sixx had a crush on Vanity for 5 years and he kept on pursing her and her p.r. or whatever told her to do it. Sixx sound very bitter towards her. I don't expect any of them to remember what they were doing.
