I always loved this song. I remember when the song was first getting airplay on the radio. I was so surprised because musically, it was a lil' different for The Time. But I always loved the track. The music is cool. The video on the other hand...is whack! Yeah man,...I was like "What the fuck is this shit here?!" I mean, it starts off cool with them running in slow motion and shit but damn...P's people must have told the casting agency to get the silliest looking extras they could find. None of these women fit being in this video. The way they were acting, like it was joke. None of the women took it seriously. And Morris?....Hell, that motherfucker was like "Get me the hell up out of here!" You could clearly see on Morris's face that he did NOT want to do this. He was like "I'm out of this band..Fuck The Time!" That's why P sent all of these girls that didn't fit. U know damn well if P wanted too, he would have loaded up that video with a bunch of Vanity's and Susan's and Lisa's and J.J.'s
and Sheila's. Jesse looked cool in that pink suit. But Mark and St. Paul?...nah,..they didn't cut it. They didn't fit either. When I first saw the album cover, I was looking at St Paul and I was like "Who's this David Cassidy looking motherfucker in the Duran Duran suit?"

This is probably my least favorite Time song. Your right about the video. WACK.I need to ask Morris about that next time I see him. Dude is pissed. I remember the first time I saw it on Night Flight(they did play some Cool ass shit on that show though)

I love this track - in fact I really like the album. I actually heard this album first as I learn't about the Time when I saw Purple Rain in '85. I then discovered the classic "What Time Is It?" (my personal favourite) and "The Time".The long dialogue/ballads on "Ice Cream Castles" work for me as I love the humour and Jesse's guitar playing on "Jungle Love" is incredible. But the title track is probably my favourite and I think Morris and Jesse look great in the video.

The poofy-haired hispanic/black-looking chick dancing to the right of Morris at the end of the video is Kelly Jo Minter from Mask, Summer School and Nightmare on Elm Street 5.
