Carmen Electra and Mayte Since Prince dated them both, they both danced for him, and he gave them both the opportunity to put out an album, I wanted to see who everyone thought was the better of the two and why. Which one was the better dancer? Who was the sexiest of the two? Who's album did Prince put more effort into (since I've never heard either, and refuse to actually search for them let alone buy them)? I can't say who was "better", although he obviously loved Mayte enough to marry her, also can't say who was sexier- well, because I'm a straight female so that answer is better left to others. For the rest of your ?'s.... I think Mayte is the better dancer. Prince definitely put more effort into Mayte's album, IMO- I own both (and just an fyi, there's a thread right now in the Associated Artists forum that states Mayte's Cd, used, is selling for $69.). Nothing against Carmen though, she sure did a good job making a name/career for herself. Ask where they're going, they'll tell U – "Nowhere"

I actually own the Carmen Electra CD. It's a bad rap album. Don't U remember that commercial that used to run on that old video channel, "The Box"?:

I don't know what Prince saw in Carmen Electra. She's not that good an actress, and she's not even that good looking. To me, she just reeks of "superficial" from her personality to her appearance.
I prefer Mayte only because Prince loved her so much. I saw them together in a few interviews from the mid 90's and they looked so happy together. After seeing them together, I was sad about the fact they ended up divorcing. had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone | |

nah...I don't think Carmen is that bad. Can't speak on her acting skills since I never watched Baywatch. I think she's probably a pretty nice person. As far as good-looking- have you seen the Carmen True Hollywood Story? Someone on there- during the piece about her relationship with Prince- states that he made her wear make-up even to bed. That being said, there's still a lot of women who wish they were that "good-looking". (I just realized, this should probably be an Assoc. Artists thread, huh?) Though they are without a doubt Prince's less interesting side-projects & had a few really poor tracks, both albums also had really good stuff on 'em. u should give 'em a try. | |

I like them both actually. They are just different than eachother. Mayte always seemed better suited for Prince personality wise but regardless Prince seemed pretty into Carmen Electra at the time.
I don't think Carmen is that much of a superfical bimbo as people think. She actually seems like a pretty nice down to earth person. She just likes being sexy and enjoys her job as a sex symbol. Alot of people automatically assume if a woman is sexy that she has no personality or is arrogant or dumb but that isn't neccessarily true. Besides that I think Carmen is a really great hip hop dancer. Mayte is more graceful and has a wider range of styles that she has mastered but Carmen can move pretty great too. I think Carmen's drive to make it in spite of early career dissapointments speaks highly of her character. If that ment getting fake boobs..oh well..that is how asthetics are in that market.If it ment alot to her to get in that industry than that was important to her and it obviously was a smart career move. As for their albums..I like Carmen's more. I remember getting it on tape when it first came out and really interested in Prince's "new" girl. I like the funk, dance style sound of it..although I think passing Carmen off as a rapper was kinda pushing it but even then she wasn't THAT bad. Well ... neither of them can sing or dance well. But between the two them Mayte had the better album, and is a better dancer than Carmen. I don't give a damn who's the sexiest because without the pounds make-up they are both rather average looking. I saw both of them live several times in the first half of the 90s and at that time Carmen was a 100 times more beautiful and sexy than Mayte IMO. I also prefered her dancing  . Judging from recent pictures Mayte is a lot more beautiful and sexy these days and also looks at least 10 years younger than she looked back then and her styling is nice as well while I didn't like it at all back then. Both are challenging women with emotional and stubborn potential. Take a look on the inside and tell me who you'd prefer. Just looking at their Venus I would choose Gemini over Capricorn because thats the submissive energy of mutable Gemini. Capricorn is Cardinal which means she's views herself as the leader in relationship situations. Being as young as she was, didn't yet understand how to assert herself,once she learned; Prince most likely didn't want to deal with it. Look at both Mars Mayte is also Cardinal there as well. These 2 energies were too masculine for Prince to handle. He though he made a good choice in her because she didn't understand herself as a woman yet and had not used her assertive energy. Long story short. Mayte is introverted and Soft on the outside yet very challenging inside. Carmen is extroverted Hard on the outside and softer on the inside, may not seem as so because Gemini is the Emotional intellect as opposed to Scorpio intellectually emotional. Isn't that interesting that they are Zodiac opposites? Scorpio & Taurus. From my point of view both take a man that is dominate and confident unintimidated by their sexual attractiveness to others. It's a combination of free will and solar influence. no person with the same sign is the same,experience & free will set a person apart. Much like a different driver behind a identical car going down different roads. just because the car is the same does not mean they will have the same experience however they do share the same potential. Over the years we all progress through the signs starting with the sign we were born under. This is why we change as the years pass by. It's a combination of free will and solar influence. no person with the same sign is the same,experience & free will set a person apart.
