Wounded Bird Records is re-releasing W&L's first two albums for Columbia Records on CD with bonus tracks. I've provided the track listings below. The CDs may be purchased now at www.woundedbird.com or may be purchased through major music outlets in late November 2006.

The UK version of Fruit already has bonus tracks (including a Waterfall remix, although that's from the first album). I can't remember the other tracks. I'm not that keen on new tracks when they're remixes and the like so probably wont buy these.

The 2 disc special edition of Eroica (can that still be found) is an absolute must though.

And I still say Girl Bros is better than anything Prince has released in 10 years.

Are these available in the UK anyone know?

I've got on cassette(!) but to have on CD would be great. Been listening to Friendly Fire of late in the car and thinking it would be good to hear tracks like Sideshow, White, Song About, The Life, Light, Always In My Dreams, Someday I & Fruit At The Bottom again.

Agree McD, Girlbros is their best release but that was years back and I'm ready for a nostalgia trip!

Are these in remastered sound quality? (all it says on the site is "re-issues", so I wasn't sure if that was the same as "remastered")

I recieved my CD's by mail on the 25th. They are NOT remastered editions. The bonus tracks are the original remixes from 1987, 1988 and 1989. I had never heard the bonus track "To Trip Is To Fall" before now and I must say love it. It's verrrrry Princy. The sound quality is very good but not much different from the original Columbia releases, which I've had on CD for years. I bought the re-issues mainly for the bonus tracks. If you buy them directly from Wounded Bird Records they're only $10.98 each! You can't beat that.
