We need "Section(s) with more relevant news" etc

... we really should have a section where relevant news is permanently on offer, e.g. upcoming or recently released books etc.

I absolutely agree on this comment by Bart.

Can I find som support for that ?

Who thinks there should be some (needed) changes here on the .ORG ?

-

Since Prince's dead, the.ORG needs some changes i believe, and i'm glad some people mention it sometimes.

I might be wrong though, but please respond to it with interesting arguments.

-

Important music news on PRINCE, be it book releases, bootlegs, video's - anything NEW and RELEVANT INFO concerning his MUSIC, should diserve another group or something.

(I'm not an expert for that matter though. This is just a question or recommandation).

-

Also stuff like, grieve, legal investigation stuff, emotional reactions, 'what Prince song you listen to today', Prince & related pictures, etc, should be given another meaning, or separate group.

Again, I might be wrong, but please react with good ideas.

Why not. smile

-

Let's try to make interesting proposals, and see from there on.

There are also more and more stories coming to surface, of people related, or who did work for Prince.

Some stories could be interesting.

Interviews, situations explained, even fan stories of PP vistis etc.

Why not group them ?

It can only make the relevant information easier to check, investigate, etc.

FYI: wrong forum. This will likely be moved to http://prince.org/msg/3 .

I know.

But I want this to be pointed towards Prince's MUSIC.

We need to discuss about this here as well.

THIS forum is where people congregate and where it should be discussed.
I have made suggestions in the past that were ignored...but I believe that this would still be a lively place IF it had been updated and reorganized.
Stickies that go on and on and quote ten pages? That's a turn-off.

THIS is what The Org should look like:

PRINCE, THE MUSIC

PRINCE, THE MAN

PAISLEY PARK MUSEUM

EVENTS (OFFICIAL, FAN-SUPPORTED)

LEGAL & ESTATE ISSUES

People can discuss those non-related topics elsewhere. Drop 'em.

Like LSA or not, they updated their format and now those long quotes are hidden (you can click if you want to).

Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

At least, this is a very interesting approach.

I agree on absolutely NOT liking the +10 page threads about a subject.

Also the repeat of ong messages etc..

Stickies are also so out of time.

A better and simple search engine would give more oportunities for those who would like to search for extra info. Or check things.

Now for instance Bart Vanhemelen amongst others, rightfully bitches towards others for not checking things, or possibly not knowing how to check things.

The site needs a smotther approach in many ways I believe.

(Prince most fans are older fans, around 50, and are NOT all that good with the internet etc.)
