Prince.Org - Are we growing or shrinking?

Possibly a question the moderators might be able to chip in on.

Obviously after the tragic news Prince.Org was overwhelmed with interest regarding Prince and a lot of new members, I assume, joined up. So how is the Org doing? Compared to early this year and since the news is Prince.Org attracting new members of have a number moved on and away from the site?

I hear the MJ community are still thriving. People here are still raw with the passing of our musical hero and things keep comming out and we don't know if it's BS or true. Some will stay away till the BS stops and i can understand. I won't be reading any of the BS till i know what is fact. Nothing will change my opinion of Prince , he will always be my musical icon cool

This is why i think it's important for P, and us, to have active social media accounts. The MJ account was sharing fan collections, memories etc just a few days after his passing. I personally found comfort in that. With P being out of the publics mind for so long, i think he needs it a lot more than mj did. I don't know about the org but there are so many more people talking about him on twitter and I've noticed a lot more fan accounts have been created since he left us.

I think that's true and an important point. Also, obviously Youtube is a different world now with Prince videos in their thousands.

Hopefully it's shrinking and it goes back to discussing what made Prince great...the music.

I actually think you have a point. I sometimes wonder whether we should have a forum for Prince's music and one for the 'more'

I must admit I have always wondered roughly how many people belong ot the Org, I realise that a lot of people read and don't always post but it would be interesting to know.

Are they new members or old members with a new user name? I'm convinced a lot of the latter is going on. A lot of people have a "style" of writing and no matter what they call themselves they give away who they really are.

Is there a point to multiple usernames? Is it to make it seem like there are more of us here than there actually are?

There's no IP bans? That would prevent creating/using multiple usernames.
