Why was the site down? Can we help fix this issue?

I'm thinking that it was because there was an overload of visitors to the org. That happened the last time the org went down, we had a peak visitor count and the org couldn't handle it. | |

yes. for real. yesterday i was thinking about this website and how it's almost the only one i ever visit and what it would be like if this site were to shut down. i'd survive, but i'd miss you all. of all the places on the internet for this one i'd be willing to pay $$ a membership anytime it were to become necessary. just saying. I was in a panic! It suddenly dawned on me that the ONLY person I have a private email for is for Jony Lawson. Remember him? He lives in New Zealand and left the Org in the late summer. I was hoping the site wasn't closed down because of P's recent crackdown... but boy am I sure glad it's back. (Let's all agree to make closer connections with each other beyond just our posts here!)

I'm guessing with so many people on the US East Coast snowed in, it was simply a case of overload. Personally it doesn't really matter to me what went wrong, but perhaps next time there could be a brief announcement on Twitter and/or Facebook saying that the site is down with an estimated return time if known? "Never let nasty stalkers disrespect you. They start shit, you finish it. Go down to their level, that's the only way they'll understand. You have to handle things yourself." | |

when the site went down, I was all  . things got like  wtfark. first I got all techi  , then I was getting  -eefiedand all  may well i experienced a pre-tantrum  .
