Hey Mars23, I answered your ? And the stupid site ate it up. LOL At anyrate, I don't think we should concern ourselves with what other sites do (mj or other). Keep in mind the GD and P&R forums were created because people became frustrated with specific content. So there's precedence.

I was wondering why that was blank...

Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

Yes.

And my 2 cents would be that most threads are not "stupid", but A LOT of them are straight on loop. Which is to say, very repetitive. Sometimes there is no other open thread that covers the same topic, but a lot of the time there is. That goes for both music and "other" Prince topics. Maybe seperating them would make that easier to manage.

Random question: Is it possible to leave threads "alive" a bit longer than you do now, or is that setting permanent and unchangeable? I understand the why of it, but when a thread is thriving and frequently visited it kind of becomes its own little mini forum. A "go to" place to discuss a particular range of topics that have come up within that thread. Then, POOF! No more reply button. Which often leads to multiple new threads being created in its place.

THAT!

I don't get why threads expire.

I'll look into the thread's expiring issue.

^Take for granted that people will keep on starting several threads on the same topic BECAUSE THE SEARCH FUNCTION SEEMS TO BITE...

But I think the number of dupli and triplications will descend.

^^^That's too hectic.

This is what's needed:

Prince: Music

Prince: General Discussion (for anything non-music related, gossip, news, relationships)

Music: Non-Prince

Music: Non-Prince Icons (for discussion of The Jacksons, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, The Beatles, Elvis, James Brown and Madonna)

General Discussion

General Discussion: Free For All (post your silly, non-nonsense, sex related and slam posts here)

Totally agree with this...

Prince: Music
Prince: General Discussion (for anything non-music related, gossip, news, relationships)

...even though this is a forum I don't participate in, I get it based on what happens in the forum below.

Music: Non-Prince
Music: Non-Prince Icons (for discussion of The Jacksons, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, The Beatles, Elvis, James Brown and Madonna)

^ I totally understand the logic behind it, but it only clears up one problem (imo)

You'd really need a third...
Music: Non-Prince General (for anything non-music related, gossip, news, relationships)

And even with that, without strict consistent moderation, non of these suggestions will work.

Music for adventurous listeners
