Org merchandise

I know that this has been discussed before and that the admin team are busy with the twitter stuff, but I was wondering if you'd had any more thoughts on opening an 'org store'?

I have come to the conclusion that i dont think I'll ever be getting my lotusfail 'funding member' t-shirt and thinking about it I've decided that I'd much rather have an org one! I REALLY want an org t-shirt!

There are loads of very talented orgers who would do a fantastic job of designing some stuff, or what about opening it as a competition?! Also, it'd be a good way of funding the running of the site. I bet that most orgers would fall over themselves to buy merchandise, I know I would

They'd be great for when orgers go to prince concerts and a good way of advertising the site

The .org community is VERY creative. I know the store will have something I'd be happy to purchase...if it will fit.

What has having org merchandise got to do with Prince's lawyers? The logo is owned by ben, not prince. As long as they don't use the symbol its got sod all to do with him

As long as the org team stick to the org logo and away from any of Prince's copyrights then there will never be a problem.

If prince has an issue with the org having merchandise then he can always open his own merch store on the lotus website

I'm pretty sure that they're not stupid enough to release a design that would be derogatory towards Prince. I thought that was a 'given'

Prince's own merch (or lack thereof) is hindering him at this point, it's really not the org's problem.
