When pople start posting threads like gay prince pictures and other threads with photoshopped pics of Prince, it's insulting and putting this site in danger of being shut down.

Enough said.

If the mods gave a damn about that,they would stop it Gray, but they don't. The threads about his personal life are ridiculous because none of these people here know him personally to make any comments about his personal life period. I have to give it to HQ though, because at least the mods there pretty much try to stay on top of things and basically put a stop to people posting photoshopped pics and derogatory remarks regarding Prince or any of his videos or links to it.

The Org is supposedly a site dedicated to an African-American artist who has fans all over the world, but if you read some of the stuff that people post about him, you would never believe they were actually fans/fams or whatever one call themselves that admires the music of an artist. No one is saying that people can't post remarks about some of his songs they may or may not like, but the personal stuff, the insults, some that are way over the top, is a bit ridiculous, but the mods allow it among many other things on other forums not related to Prince..

He doesn't respect his fans, so I sure won't feel sorry for him if people don't respect him. You can't expect people to respect you when you don't respect others yourself. If there was a way for him to shut down the org or any other fan site IMO he would do that instantly no matter what the content of the site is. He is such a control freak, so on every site there will be some content he dislikes. So I don't think it makes a lot of difference shrug .

Forums will continue to go down in quality unless the mods control the type of content that are posted. The Org are more free on allowing really stupid threads however the mods, to me are not biased like Housequake, where they would literally gang up on you and call you names like if they do not agree with your statements. You just gotta pick and choose which one you can tolerate or enjoy more of.

I don't know exactly what the offensive post was about and I don't go to P M&M that much, but I can imagine a lot of shit is posted about him on a daily basis.

I am sure tho' Prince has tried before to get the org to shut down. A long time already, when the site wasn't even moderated yet and stuff people posted about him was way worse than what you see today.

But this is a difficult issue. Legally most offensive stuff posted here would have to be allowed and Prince can't act against it. But morally speaking it's not cool if the one person this site is dedicated too gets slammed so much.

Then again, i don't really beleive he is getting slammed all the time and no matter how much people may disagree, Prince isn't exactly asking for respect and positive reactions either with so many screwing and petty law suit happy negative actions towards fans and fans sites. If you continue doing that, it's pretty lame to expect "respect" in return.

To top it all off. Prince is a superstar. He choose to be and still chooses to be. The shit comes with the territory so to speak.

But that doesn't mean people shouldn't stay polite and civilised, nor that the org moderators shouldn't act against blatant offensive stuff posted about Prince.

Maybe it would be a good idea to moderate that a bit more strict, but I don't have any illusions that will "solve" all of it, or make Prince happy. He isn't happy with the org, or any other site, never was and never will be.
