UK Purple Reign Fan Party Pt. 1 - 29th May 2004

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND...!!! Europe's biggest and best PRINCE FAN PARTY returns!!! The DAWN Experience are proud to announce not one... but TWO special nights of purple party funk...!!!

DATES
Saturday 29th May - Purple Reign Party Part 1 - Musicology Nite!!!
At the start of the bank holiday weekend we will be celebrating Prince's birthday and latest CD release in style...with new and classic Prince jams all nite.

Saturday 25th September - Purple Reign Party Part 2 - Purple Rain Tribute Xtravaganza Nite!!!
We will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Prince classic Purple Rain.

Advance tickets for both Purple Reign Party nights (May 29th and September 25th) are available NOW by mail order or by credit card. Visit the Dawn Experience site for full details. We anticipate a heavy demand for tickets, so book early to avoid disappointment.

will b staying in london for a few days after with my husband, so that good time i promised if u play my favourite songs will just have to wait for some other time!haha

cool, glad u can make it, there is a bunch of folks coming, in fact most of the folks from the manchester meet, if not all of them r going from what i hear

and remember, there is a section on the site so that every1 can vote 4 their favorite songs so they can b included

theme of the 1st party is musicology, covering music from the early days, thru the 80s and 90s covering the big hits that will b played on the 4thcoming american tour, and taking things right up 2 date with music from the new cd musicology

theme of the 2nd party is purple rain, we'll b turning the clock back 20 years 2 the time when we were all young and good looking and a few pounds lighter. un4tunately u have 2 put up with the bad 80s fashions. 4tunately bad 80s fashion is now back in style, so u can look stupid and b trendy at the same time! 2 make up 4 the lack of fashion taste, we will b focusing on the old music from around the early 80s, that deep purple funk from 1999-purple rain, the time, vanity, apolonia, sheena easton, and sheila e.

a lot of new members have joined the prince fansites recently due 2 the refound press interest in prince, and due 2 the upcoming tour. as each new tv appearance shows, new fans r joining in droves. likewise when the tour tix go onsale, more new fans join up.

the previous parties were both sold out in advance, the capacity was increased from one floor to three floors at the last party and still sold out.

we xpect this party 2 sellout quickly due 2 the renewed interest in prince and press hype.

we suggest every1 gets thier tix as soon as possible 2 avoid dissapointment.

we also suggest u book hotels and accomodation early as possible as hotels may b busy over the bank holiday weekend.

btw, prince will b in los angeles at the time of the 1st party, and mid tour, so u can book 4 the party without fear of prince playing live in europe at the same time. the tour is xpected 2 continue thru the year, but we don't xpect the 2nd party 2 cross over with any uk dates, so book away without worry

More details about the forthcoming UK Purple Reign Party...

The organisers understand that when it comes to the music of the Purple One, many fans have wide and varied tastes and dig Prince's many musical styles. From your requests and after much consultation our plans for the 1st night have been finalised...

"Musicology Nite" on May 29th is strictly about the music. A multitude of experiences that covers the vast diversity of Prince's musical output. The aim is to try and offer something for everyone who attend. A complete AUDIO and VISUAL experience that (to our knowledge) has never been done in the UK before...

There will be 3 rooms...

Room 1: Upper Room - The Party Experience
100% Prince party jamz all nite long.... dance 'till you can't dance no more!!!

Room 2: Ground Floor - The Chill Out Zone Experience
A cool selection of Prince's jazz and slow jamz output will be playing...
An area where you can sit, relax, lounge and chat with other fans and purchase that rare Prince item you've been searching for from the Madhouse music stall.

Room 3: Basement - The Live and Rare Video Experience
This area will be transformed into a movie house for the nite. A large video screen will be showing various in-concert videos... a raw live LOUD experience with superb sound.... almost just like being there.

Multiple screens all over the venue will be showing rarely seen Prince and associates videos. There is a fully licensed bar located on all 3 floors.

Tickets are still available but are going fast (payments via PayPal is now available on our website)... There is a limit to the number of peeps the venue can accommodate so order your tickets now to avoid disappointment. We have got more surprizes under wraps... a great nite is guaranteed!!!

been a while since I've chatted on here. Lots of new orgers I notice, which is nice 2C.
Got my ticket 4 the Prince PArty. Got one last year but due 2 industrial action on tubes couldn't make it. Will go through hell or high water 2 get there this time though. At the moment I'm gonna be arriving on my own sad as none of my friends are Prince fams, so it would be gr8 2 hear from those of you going. A girl on her own in London is never a good thing. Can't w8 2 shake my booty to some cool Prince tunes.

Don't worry about arriving on your own, we're a friendly bunch!!!!!

Will be there for the 3rd year running. If it's half as good the last one, we are in for an awesome night. My night was complete for me when I won the first prize in the raffle after only buying 1 ticket.
