Estate mess up another anniversary?

https://www.twincities.co...et-center//

Also at the Paisley Prince celebration they showed an already bootlegged copy of the Zenith Montreux concert of 3rdEyeGirl. Nothin Compares 2 U official release again already bootlegged and heard before. THe only new thing is probably the video footage alongside the track and also professional video of the Piano & Microphone tour which people saw.

After 2 years why are the estate STRUGGLING to come out with enough decent material? So far to me it seems they are throwing scraps out to fans...what do you think?

It is not the Estates responsibility if shows and songs have been unofficially bootlegged. These do not constitute official releases and many fans haven't heard or seen them.

The Estates decisions and capabilties are definitely in question and up for debate and feedback. But they are resolutely not responsible for fans listening or viewing content unofficially.

My concern is that no hardcore Prince fan is going to be impressed with material trickle out. The estate fully know what is already out there. There is much killer and jaw dropping material yet it seems they don’t know how to package or promote it in a consistent and professional way. Prince legacy will go limp and forgettable very quickly the estate efforts pretty embarrassing compared to other greats like MJ and the Beatles. For a Musician who more proflific than any other person I find the situation quite shocking.

It satisfies casual fans, non fans, and quite some from the hardcore fanbase enjoys a better mix of this song. Also, not all hardcore fans are bootleggers on the same level. All fans are different. I don't own all the bootlegs, but consider myself pretty hardcore when it comes to studying his music. His sound, his emotion, the artists that inspired him etc...

I am critical and I actually think the Celebration has been run very well this year.

The Pioneer Press review of the Target Center show was a joke. I was there. It was amazing. Props to everyone involved.

I was there with two friends who I would describe as non-fanatics. They (and I) LOVEDZ THE target show. It was seamless
..we looked down at THE stage many times thinking we would see him.

They can take this show on the road.
