I have no idea but do think that might get tweaked based on the direct message I got from PP.

I went with that Track as a late Fri & Sat to me is primo

it does! for sure, but i really enjoyed seeing the last show of the celebration last year. that had

a specialness, but i kinda agree that friday and saturday night sound fun.

That whole event last year had the hair on my neck standing up...I do agree that last Sunday was very emotional and moving.

Has anyone made there choices on which track you will be on? I lost a few numbers of the purple people that I linked up with from last year. Let me know so I can link up with some of you during the celebration!

I'm kind of in the same boat. I went with my sister last year... but she is unable to go this year. I am looking for courage to just make the leap and buy the ticket and go alone. Looking for Purple friends - feeling pressure with Monday deadline. Anyone else solo?

Going solo is fine as you will meet so many amazing and beautiful people who all just adore and love Prince...I go solo as my wife is too busy in April to attend. I had a blast and even have very dear friends from England I will be seeing again this year. Do it!!! Promise you won't regret.

I'm not sure yet about going but if I do, it'll be alone. Don't worry and please do go if you have the desire and able to...I've attended Prince and Paisley events and concerts alone over the course of my life, and in my experience, you'll always find fun, kind and cool purple people to befriend and hang out with!

I didn't go to the celebration, but I went to all the parties in MPLS and such that week. I had a somewhat difficult time.I brought a friend that I hadn't road tripped with for a long time, and probably should not have. It was a strenuous trip, and I should have just done it solo. When you go to any purple event, everyone there is a friend and we have a great time. I recommend you just roll solo and you will find your tribe! smile

When Prince charged us a lot of money for the 2002 Celebration he pretty much told us what we were going to get for the money and he didn't charge us $1000. There were surprises, but this notion that you can charge someone $1000 and only promise them that you will be better organized and you will have more opportunities to buy food and merchandise in addition to the $1000 that you gave them is bad business and not going to result in long term success of these celebrations. I'm sitting this one out.

Times on Saturday are now "To be Announced" They did say that all Celebration ticketholders get a ticket for the Target Center Prince on screen with a band show so don't know if there will also be stuff at the park that day or if that replaces it. We shall see...

There will also be stuff at Paisley Park Saturday too. I'm not sure how they are going to do that, but that is what they told me. Looks like VIP is already sold out and Track 1 only has 2 tix left as of now. I had originally bought Track 1 and switched to Track 2.

I can’t do it either and I live a mile or so from PP. I can’t spend $1000 or $500 when I have no idea what I’m getting for that $. They should have an itinerary even if some things might still be TBD. At least give the public some idea of events and who will be speaking/performing. It all gives off an air of winging it and possibly not having firm commitments until the last minute. The concert at Target Center only mentions an all star band. No list of actual performers. And why was the concert announced before Celebration tickets went on sale and with no clear communication that those attending the Celebration would get a ticket to this event? There are still things that make me think amateur hour.

where do we park if not at PP? I see VIP includes parking and food? is VIP worth it if tix become available? is it held indoors or out and will there be dancing! I am a female coming solo from NY..Ive been in PP 6x - $1000 vs $500? or just wait till June...do people gather there for his real birthday? Does Tyka or any of his step family show up to the event? April weather is iffy - isn't June beautiful?

Peace and be WILD!

If you purchased Celebration 2018 tickets, print EVERYTHING you have received, make sure everything says "paid" and pay very close attention to your email. Rumor has it that Paisley Park oversold VIP tickets and now they're refunding people! NOT. GOOD

I went solo VIP last year. It was good fun, but I don't think the VIP price is worth the extra.

For those driving on stardard entry tickets, you park at the nearby bus center and they run a free shuttle bus to the park.

The food was ok, but not worth the extra, and you could buy seperater dishes for a lot cheaper.

Although VIP get reserved seating, PP is so small everyone gets a good view.

The family were there and the weather was great last year. Fingers crossed.

I know what you mean. I've been contemplating coming from the UK again, but I'm not going to put down the cost requirement on such vague information.

I’m amazed at how many people travel from overseas for this with the little information given up front. Airfare plus hotel plus ticket is some serious coin.

Sometimes international travel is cheaper than intercontinental. And I think maybe europens are less proventional than Americans. They I am guessing don’t see
Going to another country as something one needs to gear up for. You just go.
I’m in no way diminishing the financial sacrifice any trip maybe. It is not easy to pay for something with little to no information.

Your reply is really interesting, and is a perspective that we Americans don't think about. Thanks!!

I think we take for granted or don't view international travel in such a way because the US is so big, and traveling to other countries would be sort of like differing US states. Thanks again! It's defintiely something that we don't think about.
