Day 4 Review Prince is not human like the rest of us. Perhaps, God came to earth as Prince to have fun. I know it sounds crazy, but it is an even crazier thought that a human was capable of doing the things that Prince did. With that said, the day started off with a miraculous circle rainbow around the sun over Paisley Park. The sky was crystal clear. We are all fortunate to have shared this earth with him. The video was 45 minutes of the Tokyo 90 concert. I was hoping for a more rare video like Celebration 2002, but whatever. Next was Cubby and David Z (sound engineers etc) sharing stories. The part that hit me is they said Prince thought that he and others worked better with no sleep because they stopped thinking and let their spirits take over. This is why he would fatigue people before asking them to do something important. Wow. Profound. Next were the people that designed and ran Paisley. Prince helped design it by approving the models. His living quarters are small. Just a rectangle studio. Next was the NPG panel with Damaris, Donna, Kip and Shelby. They were great. You should know that Damaris did a wonderful job as the host of the event. Her words personified Prince and I can see why he loved her so much. The NPG played with Cymone and Kip doing most of the lead vocals. They were good. I want to stay positive, but let's just say there was too much Tony M. When you have a 40 minute set and you dig deep for Together, Arrogance and other songs that Tony M is on then you need someone to edit your setlist. Kirk J was on drums. That is what it is folks. Prince was taken from this earth by a power far greater than himself or any other man so we all need to begin to have some peace. Then something special happened. Liv and Shelby took over along with Ida and Donna. And they closed with Purple Rain with Prince singing and on video. I don't cry. I cried the entire time. No words for the magic in that room. Tyka greeted everyone as they left. She is a sweetheart. Her husband looks like Mr. Bigs. He is a cool dude too. A couple of notes. 1. They must show the full Jan 21 show the next time. The entire thing from start to finish. 2. More Prince concerts in full. Cut the panels some and more unreleased Prince videos and music. 3. The tours were almost unforgiveable. People paid $500+ and did not get a proper tour of Paisley Park. You had one job and you screwed your most basic duty up. I feel bad for those that traveled from overseas. | |

They were not. That is too bad. I would have loved to see her join the rest of 3EG. The video of Prince was him in all gold and he looked angelic. Crying is not a good description for what we all did. We wept and it was so bitter and so sweet. Like the weeping he does at the end of Purple Rain. Such a beautiful feeling. I really enjoyed the overall event. That said, I really thought Damaris was brutal as MC of the event. Slow, generic emotion and just a real drag. Thumbs up for everything else though. I couldnt get enough of the little stories that everyone shared in the panels. The set for the Time was a bit too long for their lack of material, but it was still good to see Morris. (Insert something clever here) | |

Thank u Donny. Wish I could have gone. Appreciate your recap of events and your thoughts. I did get to see the Revolution in concert tho last night in Chicago so able to participate in some tribute to Prince. Just so sad. Like everybody here, I miss him everyday. Peace to all on the org. | |
