Celebration 2017 - Track One meetups or events

Hi, for some reason, the various threads keep self locking early.

This thread is for those in Track One of the Celebration. Has anyone made plans yet?

I'm coming in from England and I think I'm going to stay downtown, so I can go out in the evenings to First Avenue, Fine Line, Bunkers etc and jump on the Metro for the Mall of America.

I'm going to do a walking trip to the Purple Rain house, and drive out and find the 'That ain't Lake Minnetonka' spot for a bit of nostalgia.

Any advice on other spots worth a visit or any get togethers?

There's quite a few Brits going on Track One. Do u know Ray, Mike & Maureen from the London fan/boat parties? They are all going along with others. If not I could hook u up on Facebook. I am also going & we are all staying downtown Minneapolis. We are also going to Andy Allo at the Dakota on Saturday night. Track One is first in & last out. Sooooo looking forward to it!

I'm keeping my eye of on the live events. 1st Ave still looking bare.

Just saw Jesse's announcement on Facebook. Can't believe it, he'd be my number one pick to see. Might go to both his shows.

I've just booked the 1st Avenue Tour on the 21st as well.

Anyone have a clue as to what the schedule is going to look like?

I was hoping the concerts @ PP would be after the late sessions (after 10pm). I have my Andy Allo ticket for early show and was hoping to hop back out to PP for the show. Jesse's shows are at 11pm and I am worried it will conflict.

I wish they would give us a few hints about the schedule other than we know the Revolution is performing before Sunday night (They are booked in Chicago on Sunday night).

I am Track One GA.

p.s. I booked a First Avenue tour on Friday morning.

The only thing I've seen is that the Revolution are playing Thursday night and Friday night. I don't think anything will be happening after 10pm.

...and Andre Cymone said the NPG asked him to play with them on Sunday.

With four acts and four days, I think its safe to say there are two options.

1. Bands will only play the 4pm to 10pm visitor tracks, maybe one on act at 7pm, another at 8.30. That would mean no live performances on the 11am to 4pm days.

or

2. A different band will play each track, early or late. e.g. The NPG play at 2.30pm Thurs & Fri, Revolution play 8.30pm, Thurs & Fri.

I don't see them running past 10pm, due to prep for the next day. The last night might get something longer.

If people are interested in Jesse gigs, he plays two night, so each track at PP will have a 4pm finish and have no problem getting to Bunkers for 11pm.

See you there! I've book the Sat night too, but will take a view if anything else happens. Surpirsingly First Avenue doesn't have anything on for the Fri and Sat night.

I've got 4 gigs on the Sat now.

PP Gig in the afternoon.

Andy Allo at 7.30 (Dakotas)

Allan Rayman, excellent new artist at 7th Street Entry at at 9pm.

Jesse at Bunkers, hopefully at 11pm.

Got my tix for this too and need to check if Jesse's are on sale yet. Couldn't afford the celebration but still want to be a part of things. The PRN family is sponsoring a late nite dance party too I'd like to attend.

I would like to set up some meet ups with anyone or groups attending. My friend is coming to town to stay with me but not doing any Paisley Park stuff. Not to sound like a wimp, but I kind of hate the thought of being a woman by herself at the shows.

I'm staying at the JW Marriott. Anyone else staying there that would like to meet up or drive together? I'm a totally normal, professional woman who needs this trip for some closure. Would love to hang with like minded people while I'm there.

I'm nervous I'll get shy if I don't preplan a group to party with. Let me know. Coming from Florida.

I have been tp PP when P was alive, and I would rather not spend the 500 - 1000 to go to PP now. BUt...I'm coming to MPLS to visit my friends and certainly have purple experiences all over the city.

It was listed as LP Music when I booked. I think I read that Paul will not be there.
