2017 PP Tour Dates, etc.

Paisley Park has now opened up more tour dates - all the way through September 3rd.

Anyone else planning to go the first part of June?

I am planning to go in May. I noticed that there are no After Dark tickets for Friday night. I wonder if they will be added later...

Interesting. I hadn't noticed that. It looks like those end the last week of March. I haven't been to any of the Friday nights events. I heard that it is usually 20 people or less, and as low as 1 person. I would say that all has to do with the cost. Prince would have dance parties for $10 and might even DJ himself. They are charging $69 for the tour and the dance party. If you have already done the tour, as most local fans already have, then it isn't really worth it. I go to all the movie nights and although it is expensive, seeing all these unrleased shows is worth it. It's too bad that they have decided to end the dance nights, rather than have a cheaper option just to do the dance party.

Yes, a less expensive dance night would be ideal. The cost is quite prohibitive, especially for travelers who want to take in an entire weekend at PP. It may work out for the best in my case - I can get 2 tickets to go see a show at First Ave when I visit MPLS for the cost of 1 After Dark ticket on Friday. $69 is definitely justifiable to pay to see an unreleased show at PP!!

OP - I hope you find some cool people going in June! It would be awesome to visit @ his bday. I bet the weather is great then too.

Dislike Button. I was looking forward to that myself.

I emailed them and they said they are discontinuing it for the summer months.

Thanks for emailing them and posting their reply.

Isn't that what Prince was about? Listening/dancing to his music? That just sucks.

The Saturday movie night looks like it is still a go, do/can people dance at that I wonder?

Agreed. They could have just sold tickets to the dance party at a reasonable price and they probably would have had a lot more people. The only time they are blasting music in there now is on the movie night. When Prince was alive, every time I was in there that place was bumping. Even when the tour goes into the studios the volume is at a very moderate level. They need to blast it. Give people the experience of what it was really like. People can dance on movie night, but most don't. They move chairs in there for people to sit, but you can always find me dancing in the back.

Looks like Saturday After Dark tickets are timed from 6PM-11PM... They could work in a DJ AND concert in that time frame. Cross your fingers, I'd love to dance too!!

Yes, right now if you go on the earlier tours starting at 6pm, those people are sitting around for a couple of hours waiting for the concert. They do have some Prince music playing, but it's not loud and people aren't dancing.

Gosh, how hard would it be to just turn up the volume? PP people listen to what the fans want!
