Premiere CONCERT SCREENING: Prince's "JAM OF THE YEAR" at Paisley Park on Jan. 14th at 9 pm

Great news.

Paisley Park will screen Prince's wonderful "JAM OF THE YEAR" concert on Jan. 14th at 9 pm.

They posted the following on Twitter regarding the screening:

"Jan 14 CONCERT SCREENING! #Prince "Jam of The Year" #KansasCity (Jan 4, 98)"

Are they still only offering admission that includes a tour? It seems strange that they wouldn't offer screening tickets only. There's only so many times a person would want to tour the building. I wonder what kind of turn out they have for these?

If they included an evening meal (like they do with the Sunday "brunch tours"), it would make more sense to charge the whole fee...but yeah. I wouldn't be traipsing through there *that* often.
I'd start stealing stuff (just kidding).

Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

Yes, they don't have a separate option only for the movie. You don't have to actually do the tour, but if I'm paying for it I'm doing the tour too. I've went to all the movie nights and there are usually about 100 people average. Hopefully they will eventually add a separate option to do just the dance party on Friday or the movie on Saturday. I figured I'd better go now, since there are no guarantees it will continue.

At this time of year, cold and not many tourists, that's actually a pretty good turn-out. That brings in $6,000 to help pay PP expenses.

Agreed. I think it has been below zero every time so far.

Will do! Looking forward to seeing Rosie on drums in Gett Off. Hopefully they won't cut the feed before then.

Ok, so Princevault.com is wrong. Rosie did not play drums on Gett Off. She did come on stage and tear it up though.

Before they played the show Kirk got on the mic and said that he was drumming for this show. He said the footage was near 20 years old and that there might be a few glitches here and there. The sound was great, but the quality of the video wasn not near as good as the O2 and W2 Australia shows. I just hope that other older videos they have don't suffer this same fate. Donna was in the house tonight.
