Im in SC, met folks that live across from PP

So I live here in the Charleston SC area. I was at Publix and over heard these people, 3 ladies, say they were from Minnesota. I asked them,," your not from Chanhassen are you" ? , They replied YES. I said " yea I was supposed to tour Paisley Park last week but my tour got cancelled". They replied, " We live right across the street from Paisley Park"!. I said, " I want to talk to you when you get through the line". First thing I brought up was the believe Prince may have been killed and about the war he had with Warners. They replied, " oh I don't know anything about that but Prince was into drugs wasn't he?" So then they asked if I were coming to Chanhassen. I replied, well I had a hotel booked, flight booked, and my ticket to the Paisley Park tour but my ticket got cancelled and the whole thing was so emotional for me. I said the city council voted against it becoming a museum. They replied, i know! We don't want all that traffic, there are school around and a daycare center, Prince was a private person. I told them, well actually Paisley Park was there since 1985 and was already a tourist attraction. I also told them that Prince wanted it to be a museum. I told them that I spoke with the Chanhassen city council members last week and told them that Chanhassen residents were not welcome in my city if I'm not welcome in theirs. The ladies replied , and hear we are. I said hello, here you are. I said, I come from generation and generation of Charleston,SC natives and I have seen this place turn into a tourist town. People here didn't want cruise ships but they are here anyway and you just have to deal with it. Then I told those ladies, you cannot keep the people of the world who love Prince, out of Paisley Park and you don't have the right to do do. One lady replied, well I know a lot of residents who were there before 1985 who don't want people here. I said, yea right. Then the lady replied, well I know Prince didn't pay his taxes,ha,ha,ha. I said, I know, I paid a little of it and tried to get others to do the same to insure Paisley Park wasn't lost but not to many people joined in. Then the ladies replied, well we have to go get ready for a wedding. I said, ok, well enjoy you time in my beautiful city. ///// I'm thinking to myself that was no accident that I ran into those people. I hope I did something for Prince today. I know the estate only care about making money of of him but for so many of us that love Prince, we just want to go to be close to him and pay respects.
I asked Prince what he was planning to do. He told me , I'm going to look for the ladder. I asked him what that meant. All he said was, sometimes it snows in April. - book D.M.S.R.

This should be a reminder to never skip your meds. You make other Prince fans look so bad.

Such a small world.

Hopefully the city will allow it to open full time.

Well there are no houses right across the street from PP for one thing. These ladies sound like real witches. Most people in that area have ever had a cross word to say about Prince. Idk why they are all getting their undies in a bunch over this now. Some people just got to hate on something to get thru their wretched daily existence I guess.
It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

No houses across the street from Paisley. They were just clowning you. The people in Chanhassen could not have been nicer to me. I was there for days and no matter where I went, they were genuinely nice. Everything with the traffic ran smoothly. I would be very surprised if the city council doesn't approve the museum. It will be to your benefit to go later anyway-after they've added things and worked the kinks out. All's well that ends well ya know.

They probably didn't mean directly across the street. I already knew there are no homes right across the street. They were familiar with the area as they told me about the daycare center ( I already knew). It was two ladies around 40- 50 and a teenage girl. They were not lying.

It's not about making money off Paisley Park Oliva, it's about maintaining the expenses of Paisley Park so fans can enjoy it years to come. I can't imagine the profits being that much. It is a bigger place than Graceland to maintain. Not cheap.
