Hi. My Mom and I will be flying from West Virginia into Minneapolis on 10/10 an staying until 10/15. We will be staying at the Best Western Plus Bloomington. I hope that's not too far from the action in downtown. But, we would LOVE to have an excort who knows their way around. We have never been there. Already have tickets for the Paisley Park tour on 10/11 at 11:00am - 12:00pm . We also have tickets to attend the movies at St. Anthony Main Theatre on Wednesday at 7:00pm. Now waiting for tickets to the concert. But, there are so many other things we'd love to see, but we know we'll probably get lost... LOVE to have an escort! If this offer stands, lets get in touch! We are also debating on going to Al & Alma's Supper Club for a Dinner Cruise on Lake Minnetonka sometime that week, but we have NO IDEA on how to get there and a taxi would probably be very expensive! If you're not getting a car, you could probably Uber out there for less than a cab...Do you have a list of specific things you want to do/see? I live in the east metro (about 35 minutes from downtown Mpls) and will be mostly solo for the weekend (I have a friend that's going to the concert [god willing we get tickets!] but nothing else) and would love to meet up!

Thanks for the info. I got my tickets yesterday now I'm just waiting on the tribute concert tickets to go on sell.I've never been to minneapolis so I hope I run into someone who knows where they're going.

Bunkers has an AWESOME P tribute band, Chase & Ovation, on Saturday, 10/15. I've seen them a couple of times and they are amazing - I definitely plan on going to that show.

I am staying at the Hampton Inn and Suites Downtown on N8th street. It's a 3 min walk to First Ave and 1 mile from the stadium. I would definitely love to meet up with you all. I will be at SOTT screening, PP tour on 12th and 13th (11:40 VIP tour). Hope to make it to 10 am First Ave tour but still plan to hit First Ave. after the (god i hope) concert. I will be on my own as well. Hubby staying home with the kid. Weekday travel is not easy!

I am staying at the Minneapolis International Hostel - not fancy, but within my meager price range. It's roughly a 30 min walk to First Avenue or U.S. Stadium Private room with ensuite was $70 per night, snagged a wicked deal as I think they've changed prices since I booked

I was hoping for something Prince related to be happening Friday night. Even a DJ spinning Prince music all night at a local venue would be fun. It's the only reason I didn't put Purple Rain & Graffiti Bridge Friday night! Perhaps like us, some of the other possible events are waiting for the event announcement so they can plan accordingly? They better spew something tomorrow...it's getting down to the wire.

If you are planning on staying Sat night, Bunker's is having Chase & Ovation. From what I hear they are a GREAT Prince tribute band (thanks for the info Bankinherpocket!!!). We'll be meeting up there around 7 or so. Would love to have you join!! BTY...I'm staying at the Westin downtown. Looks like it's walking distance to most things.

I'm staying at the Best Western too! There will be 6 of us total from Indiana. We are driving 9 hours at least. We just couldnt afford plane ticktets too right now. That tribute band sounds fun at Bunker's. We will be there until Sunday morning I think, so that might work out. Not sure how late we should stay out Saturday! 9hr + drive (not including stops) is a long way if you are tired and hungover. LOL
