London 22/4/16 ... any fans getting together?

Feel like I need to be with fellow fans right now. Does anyone know if there are going to be any fan get togethers in London tonight...would be good to raise a glass, share memories and stories, shed a tear or two, have a dance...

I'd love to come if there's anything going on x

Feeling the same. Let me know if there's anything going on. There's probably more of us, but the org is groaning with the weight of the love.

If it helps with the pain then Laurene Laverne is playing a whole Prince tribute on BBC radio 6 music, 10-1.

There's also a Prince tribute on Sky News tonight at 6.30 and 9.30 p.m. (UK time)

I'd come along. There must be a pub/bar in London that will be playing some prince tonight. If anyone hears anything...

Haven't heard anything yet ... disappointing. If I knew where to start I'd arrange something myself.

Fingers crossed for some news in the next couple of hours.

Nothing for tonight it would appear Dave but Prince Museum and Prince Party UK have put something out on Facebook saying that the Rugby Tavern in Holborn will be hosting a "celebration" event tomorrow (Saturday) from 4 p.m.

Yes I want to go. I need to do something. I've been crying so hard. What's the venue of choice for all? I thought probably Camden. It's where he had his shop. The legendary KoKo events. But yes o2 too.

Brooklyn Bowl inside the O2 is screening Purple Rain tomorrow night plus Prince music before and after. Google Brooklyn Bowl O2 for details. That's where me and Dave T are definitely going tomorrow night.

I am from Reading. Would love to come to the Purple Rain screening but not sure how to come back. I don't drive.

Any fan gathering would also interest me.

Hi, check out www.tfl.gov.uk, you can get a train into/out of Paddington from Reading and then the tube to/from North Greenwich. That should get you there and back. Purple Rain starting at 8 p.m. so should give you plenty of time to get there, see the film, party for a bit afterwards, and still get home safely. Check out the train times on the TFL website. Otherwise local hotel? Maybe see you later.

There is a train from Paddington to Reading around midnight.

It is the way back to Paddington which worries me. The tube can be horrible/unreliable.

Still hesitating to leave my home.

A local hotel at the last minute would be a rip-off.

Tube is usually very reliable, and only one change I think from Paddington so should be pretty straightforward. Come along! After Prince losing his life so unexpectedly and at a young age, I for one am living for today and not passing up any opportunity to do just what I want x

Waiting for the washing machine to finish and might head to the O2. I don't know the area at all though. Don't know London too much... anyone up for drinks before the screening of purple rain? Interested in meeting fans... making new friends...

I'll be meeting DaveT there at about 5, we're having drinks and a bite to eat beforehand and will be in Brooklyn Bowl from 7, if not before. If anybody wants to meet up with us, please send me an Orgnote and I'll be happy to share my phone number with you so we can touch base and arrange to meet when we're there. Nearest tube for you is North Greenwich which is on the Jubilee Line. The O2 is right there. You can't get lost. We'll be staying within the O2/Brooklyn Bowl all night if you'd like to join us.

We had a climb up to the top of the O2 at lunchtime. Stood up there and had Little Red Corvette blaring from my phone...it will always be Prince's house!

Thanks! Will do! It'll be great to meet up with some fellow fans, plus I'll be going on my own. I'm not sure what time I'll get there yet though, probably not until 7. I'll be be wearing a yellow top with broken hearts on it!
