The regs at Hobgoblin N1 love their Prince - so it's more than time for us to have another Purple Soul party & before 2010 is out, this is likely to be our last Prince special before 2011 - so please do come and enjoy the £Free Entry Prince & related music.

So our next Prince feature night which is on Friday September 10th 2010 @ Hobgoblin, N1, London, UK 9pm-2am, FREE ENTRY all night, standard pub drink prices.

We are holding another PRINCE NIGHT in London town.UK on FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 10th 2010

Good news is - it's FREE ENTRY ALL NIGHT, in a central London location with tube & parking nearby & it's on a Friday.

As before - your Prince requests will be taken on the night & I will do my best - but the best way to guarantee your fave Prince tunes get played is to bring your own CDs and CDRs with your fave Prince tunes on on the night - this will make it more likely I can find the tunes

Some of the boardsters are coming - they've messaged me to let me know this, but by the looks of it the London members presently active in the last week or so in this forum i doubt will be there.

However I'm sure some who have frequented this forum will be there as was the case last time but some of them don't post much in public on here.

If you are one such lurker reading - please introduce yourself at the DJ table and I can then let you know where the other Org'ers are in the bar should you wish to know.

Special thanks to Sarah, Ezra, Vijay, Paul & Paul Savage - loved your spirit & really appreciated you understanding what the aim of this night is.

As i've always said - weneedanotherprincegreatesthitsonlynightlikeawholeinthehead...

& if you only listen to Rock music I don't think it will appeal. Nor will it appeal if you expect to & are looking only to hear Prince's greatest & biggest hits when you walk through the door.

If you can't see how significant the likes of George Clinton, James Brown & Sly Stone, or The Time, Jam&Lewis etc even?! are to Prince - then we are on a different page completely, all a point of opinion I guess. if you're looking for someone to press play on the Greatest Hits CD - I'm not your man - if you're looking for a Soul & Roots & Influences of Prince - I may be your man

Groove Lineage Prince "Purple Soul" theme party will be back in 2011 - more info to follow nearer the time...

Til then PRINCE will stay on the play list on a weekly basis at Groove Lineage.
