BRISBANE PRINCE FAN MEETUP 27th May **UPDATED**

Hello Aussie Prince Fans!

I'm organising a Brisbane Prince Fan Meetup on Saturday 27th May 2006, from 8pm. Venue: TBA (somewhere in central Brisbane most likely). My goal is to weed out as many Prince fans from the SE Queesland/Brisbane/Gold Coast area as possible - I know you're all out there somewhere!. Hopefully I can gather enough people to book a room at a pub/club/restaurant somewhere - maybe even a bowling alley or something... . The whole idea is just to meet some other fans and have a good time. Discuss the new album and you’re Princely experiences!! Anyone and everyone is welcome - young, old, casual fans etc.

All you inter-staters are more than welcome to come along if you can make it (flights from Sydney to Brisbane are cheap as chips these days!). Come to Queensland and enjoy the sunshine!!

There’s always talk of fan meetups in Sydney and Melbourne etc, but nothing ever seems to surface so I thought “bugger it - I’ll organise one myself!!”. In all honesty, I’m not expecting that many responses, but I figure it’s better to try than to not try. If I can get a handful of people to come along, then it’s been worth it!

I’ve got posters and flyers going out all over Brisbane over the next few days. Keep an eye out!!

good luck toejam!! I'd love to join you but I'm in England until next year... keep an eye out for the Australian Invasion in Sydney though!

The Globe Theatre in Fortitude Valley will be screening Purple Rain on Friday the 17th March. I will be there handing out flyers for the meetup...

Still interested in meeting brissie fans. think i'll go to the pr screening too. maybe we can start to put names to faces while we're there. should b cool! should remind me of seeing graffitti bridge in the old boomerang cinema in annerly. great memory
