Anyone able to translate this Jill Jones interview?

http://www.schkopi.com/index.php/2019/06/news/les-confidences-de-jill-jones/?fbclid=IwAR0zrYB5OV9YOgHmu_eTND4mwwaCOhT3XnaBZWG3Mci0z7g07PVCMByQAFw

Looks like it might be promising. Losts of discussion on Jills 1987 album, Our Destiny, and Come Elektra Tuesday.

Anyone able to do a good translation?

Try GoogLe translate.A bit of it is uncomfortable reading, cuss she says prince got physical sometimes, but overall she says it was positive time in her life.

Unless I skimmed that part too fast, she doesn't say any such things. At worst, she mentions shoes being thrown at her, but there's nothing else about Prince getting "physical".

(I'm a native French speaker so IDK what nonsense came out of the Google translate you read)

Her words are Has prince been abusive to me? Yes. But he also gave her huge gifts, whatever that means. Look relationships can be a complex thing as we know. She is just saying that. And doesnt regret anything.

No, it's a translation problem. What it means in French is "abusive behaviour", which does not usually imply physical abuse, but giving people shit, psychological abuse or bullying. Now IDK what she said in English (it's likely the interview took place in English then was translated to French), but no native French speaker would assume she means physical abuse just by reading this sentence.

Great interview. Jill just might be the sharpest, most relatable protégée. At least, when she’s not online speaking in code throwing obtuse shade.

She connects some dots between Prince and his aspirations. With Louis B. Mayer as an inspiration, it’s easy to see how he might have envisioned Paisley not as Motown but as Hollywood. Prince was low-key famously obsessed with old black and white films from Hollywood’s golden era. From his marketing of “The Family,” right up until just before his passing when he posted that obtuse photo of Edward G. Robinson. Fascinating.

There are threads about both of Jill's interviews in the Associated Artists forum (where they belong).

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

And ol' girl always comes across just angry about everything. She doesn't like this person, hates that idea, disses the Revolution (did I miss what instruments she plays or songs she's written that we know?). She's the tortured soul on the girl side (Jesse Johnson is on the male side).
