Half-submerged

Not sinking fast

But slowly one by one

I stand by the mast

One of the last survivors

Watching the gradual demise

The crew of what I knew

Disappearing at an

Alarming rate

The storm surprised us

Dark clouds looming

On the horizon

And then the swells

Drowned us

Beneath the deep

And not many came back

Still, I remain...

Clinging to the last

While all other ships

Are sinking

The sky is blue

The water calm

But the depths

Are calling

How long until

We see land again?
