omg this is kind of off topic but do you have a higher res of those pics? Patrick Nagel is literally my favourite illustrator in the whole world and I love seeing his style applied through other artists work.

I admire your guts, but This Prince vs Michael Jackson thing is tiresome, they are very different.

Sadly I don't have a better quality version of this image. I merely stumbled upon it via google search. Here is the link to the image:

Averette: - Was that the Sign of the Times Live concert where he yelled "Kick Some Ass!!?" It was more like a celebration of the music than a full blow battle but I tried to represent. Michael may have been the King of Pop but Nelson is the Prince of Rock, Blues, Funk, R&B, Minneapolis Sound, New Wave and Pop! "If you wanted to buy a Sam Cooke album, where would you go?"

Wow, good for you! That takes some guts and balls to represent like that. I mean I do my Prince show in my bedroom or in the shower while the music blasts. But it must have felt really good to represent Prince in spirit in front of so many people. Great job!

Thanks vinaysfunk: It was rough at first. The Who's Bad MJ tribute band have been doing it for 10 years. I had less than 2 weeks to get ready. Once we finally got to Raleigh I was ready. I just calmed down and had fun with it. The Prince fans in the crowd helped a lot!

I liked it. Especially those vocals on Verse 1. Prince himself couldn't pull off that run.

Thanks! The Who's Bad dancers have Michael Jackson's moves down pat but it was a lot easier for me when I stopped trying to move and talk and sing like Prince and just played the songs. "If you wanted to buy a Sam Cooke album, where would you go?"
