JAMBOREE (My new funky, weird hip hop track) https://soundcloud.com/parade09/jamboree
This track was inspired by many of the alternative hip hop acts of today.
all instruments are played by me
I hope you enjoy it and I would love some feedback.

the synth-line is cool but you should work on the beat a bit - it's a little late in my ears - the snare and also the bassdrum should kick earlier... i am sure it would be much more funky than! or the bassdrum on the 3 should get 2 kicks
Keep on doin it! i like your sound

Yes, you are very right about the timing, I was trying to make it sound natural like a human playing it live, but I think I took it a bit too far haha. Thanks for the feedback though and I'm really glad you like my sound

wow this is really good. I think the offset beat is good, reminds me a lot of the more off kilter beat-makers that are contemporary (flying lotus, shlohmo, etc)
is the funk guitar a loop?

is the funk guitar a loop? I played and recorded the guitar for the first section of the song and the last part was looped, haha I got lazy.
