What can we do to help each other?

I was scanning my digital music files and came across the classic New Funk Order collections. In remembrance, I thought of how unified the artist community forum once was. I personally don't think that the unity is gone, but it seems as if there is a bit more isolation within the community here (as opposed to the yesteryear).

Forgive me if I'm living in the past, but is there any hope for a new revolution for us artists to come together and help each other move forward? Any ideas on how I can help you, we can help each other get our art the exposure and appreciation it deserves?

Sure we post a song or two, get great feedback and all is well. But what's beyond the Org, Soundclick, or Acidplanet? What's the next step? Is there anyway we can collectively start a movement to help each other get exposure?

We have a home here (musical and visual artists alike), lets simultaneously work on a strategy to unify our online communities.

Mods feel free to help me get the word out. Or if there is anything Prince.org as a company can do specifically to help out your starving artists it would be greatly appreciated.

Just posing a few questions... food for thought. Good idea, bad idea. Let me know what you think either way.

What I know will facilitate things is if we branch out into areas beyond our own awareness. For example, with the new idea/site that I have begun (for which I have been posting the same things here as I do there), I set the goal of wanting to touch more than one community.

Let's say that two people here put all the communities that they are involved in on a sheet of paper. These two people then get together for coffee, and they put their lists side by side, and move them up and down like an elevator. They then see two ideas that look like they fit hand in glove, but until they got together, this never occurred to either. Can you imagine what might come up? (this idea comes from one of THE coolest books I have read in recent years, called "The Imagineering Workout." It's a Disney production, with authorship being credited to "The Disney Imagineers" (isn't that word the coolest?!)

Actually, a lot of things are happening now but they haven't been revealed yet...

It's wonderful to know that you're thinking the same way.
