Pay attention to the sott-picture (looks like the albums inner sleeve) on the video page.

As far as I can see it's the only picture from a past project.

I think it's all generally positive. Seems he was trying out a few ideas and like I said elsewhere he now has a site that consolidates it all. In terms of new music, he may being Prince not put any new content on - but that would be unlikely, I'd expect to see new stuff on there in the next week. But yeah, it may fall into disrepair eventually, but its free so who's been harmed?

Also with all the music/vids we've had so far on there it does add up to a fair bit of content. If u include the livestream stuff u've got quite a big playlist no? All huge steps in the right direction and a cool as fuck looking site. Looking at it I hope someone has a word as it would translate pretty easily into an app, which would be pretty mentalist.

What we got then is miles on from last year - so I'm going to enjoy the ride. Without the lulls how could u ever really appreciate the highs.

U knkw...ure right....loads of free content...stuff u can buy...no membership fee....just a case of getting music to the fans via multiple avenues...free, paid, and be there when it happens. I think thats all hes really worried about to...getting music to the fans....if the general public follows...kool & the gang. He wants to make music and let who wants to hear it, hear it...to the best if his ability.

Exactly, and in the 3rdEyeGirl videos, the girls were seen in front of pictures from the Parade era as well.

This is odd.

- First we get 20pr1nc3.com with 1 vid and 2 teasers (including one for a DVD that never came out), then it's gone after a few weeks.

- Then we get prince2013.com with another teaser for a vid 4 sale... that's still there months after.

- Then we get at last a real online shop with 3rdeyegirl.com 1.0 but after some time it seems abandonned and was suddenly revived 3 weeks ago.

- Then we get onenpg.com which is a fake fansite asking Prince to open the vault and gets scrapped after 24 hours supposedly after getting a cease and desist (by Prince to himself rolleyes) and we still don't know WTF this was supposed to mean eek

- Then now we get 3rdeyegrl.com 2.0 which seems to be a real website at last but half of what was for sale on 1.0 is now gone and there's no new material for sale while we get loads of livestream stuff no one can see in time but some great souls manage to leak... on unofficial websites.

Honestly, I'm confused.

Not to mention that RNRLA and a different version of Screwdriver are on iTunes.
This adds another "site" into the mix. I wonder if those iTunes tracks are still up? Sorry for those who might've missed out on 3EGv1 downloads.

plus, physical copy and download for RNRLA was available on purple music,

as well as the screwdriver download and the rnrla video, iirc.

Databank, you're so right, it's exhausting, have been listening for as long as I can remember but it's actually no fun even for a hard core fan to keep up anymore!

I don't know how to buy the music, whether I can retain the music...also I've bought a lot of it from other websites before and then it's lost when you upgrade your tech or switch device.

The Warner Bros years seem a lot more mysterious enigmatic and a whole lot more fun from where I'm sitting.

Even the 90s was more fun, at least you could buy the music in some form.

A jukebox needs more than just a heartbeat...his fans are adults who love music, not kids who want dead ends and goose-chases.

Why is it some orgers complain about the trials and tribulations of being a Prince fan but continue to follow him regardless? Prince is Prince! He doesn't have to alter his ways to appease fans. Either you dig it or you don't. Either you follow or you won't . Yeah most of his fans are adults but they whine like kids when the output isn't specifically tailored to their individual wants.

I don't see the conflict here. Contrarly to some here, I enjoy Prince's new music just as much as his classic material, every note of it. I am only saying that his website policy is confusing and that I wish I'd understand the logic behind it is all, but I'm here for the music and I have no complaints about the music.

Honestman all I'm saying is that it's no longer easy to access Prince's music, it's very fragmented. Like Databank I like a lot of it when I hear it but its no longer fun to try and find it. It feels like an effort all the time. He doesn't have a mobile, he can't decide on YouTube and likes real music by real musicians. Stick to physical releases then I say. No more phantom releases and downloads, give music lovers something they can hold on to...not just a stream of ones and zeros soon to be lost in the ether.

3rdEyeGirl.com could've been a membership based site with a annual fee. They could've sold physical copies of each track as singles for $5.00 a pop(plus shipping costs). Everything released so far hasn't even cost $20. This site is good because it negated a lot of the things everyone complained about on previous sites. Now everyone wants more for less. Physical product is going to raise prices across the board. So that $0.88 download will be a thing of the past and the freebies like the two new tracks will become non existent.
