I've been on another popular site for years with a very well known brand who do little to update their site. You wouldn't believe the name of that brand if I told you. The person's site is just as famous as Prince...so it doesn't matter who runs the site.

That's besides the point though, the fact that there are other sites out there with little or no updates doesn't justify the lack of content or updates.
