Dear Prince & Lotusflow3r people....

Dear Prince & Lotusflow3r people,

I am a audio visual professional & I have encoded video for the web in the past.
If you want me to do it for you properly, I will do it for FREE!

I will get the aspect ratio correct, I will make sure it streams properly, I will keep the file size low and the quality high.

Basically I will treat the video content with the RESPECT they DESERVE.

If you don't know how to do it just say so, evidentially you don't judging by pretty much everything on the site uploaded thus far, but the Montroux stuff, grateful as we are to see it, really takes the biscuit.

I'm just tired of the ineptitude of the people responsible for the video content on that site.

No shit!! Prince certainly ain't!

He wants to be compensated for a mother posting her video on YouTube of her infant dancing to a snippet of his music being played in the background on the radio! Even though he was paid by the radio station because he was the writer of the music!

I too noticed the 4:3 aspect ratio, and that annoyed me the same way it did with the "Rave un2 the year 2000" dvd, but is this the way the Montreux people filmed it? I see alot of footage come out of European countries where widescreen doesn't seem to be a standard. Seems to be a pretty major flaw

I have no idea what you mean by this statement.

The Montreux footage was obviously shot at 16:9 and compressed at 4:3 (by whoever was responsible for uploading it onto the site) hence the distorted image.

I discovered by accident that if you double click on the video once it's playing it will resize to 16:9, or at least something less squashed.

Unfortunately this doesn't work for all the videos, and results in the all ready stretched Coachella clips becoming even worse!
