Of course not. Simply cause you dont join a group or a "fan" site doesnt make anyone less of a person or a fan. Thats like saying that god loves you less cause you dont go to church or have any money to give for the collection plate. We are ALL fans regardless, We ALL are whom make Prince or any other famous person. Without the fans and the people who love them they would be nothing. | |

No you are not. Those that join (like myself) are not better fans either. Swa I'm with Swa on that one. It also needs to be said that fans who don't join are not better fans than the ones who join. Whatever you decide to do, it's all good. Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.

I really don't get all this negativity. For sure we haven't had $77 worth yet but I never expected to get my monies worth in the first few weeks, when I paid for a years subscription. How could anyone have expected to get $77 worth on day 1? But then again, Prince can't win on this one. If he'd launched the site with 10 CD's worth of unreleased stuff, people would still be moaning now. Either they'd be complaining because they'd already had the stuff on boots for years. Or they'd be complaining that there's too many cowbells in the official Moonbeam Levels release. Or they'd just be moaning that they'd paid for a year and nothing had changed from day 1. I'm not saying that the site will definitely turn out to be worth $77, just that it can't seriously be judged on its value right now. It may well come to pass that we've been completely ripped off but until early next year, we can't make that judgement. If you buy a years subscription to a monthly magazine, would you complain after 3 weeks that you'd only received 1 issue and not all 12 months worth? And now for a cup of tea. | |

What's a "lesser fan"? I think it's a silly question, frankly, and I don't give a good god damn what Prince thinks of me as a "true fan" or not. He's gotten enough money out of me over the last 26 years and disappointed me (and thrilled me) many times. I think I've earned my "fan" cred and, really, I've got other shit to worry about. | |
