No chance to gettickets unless you were lucky enough for the site to work in the first 5 mins? No high res vids? No downloadable vids? No exclusive pics, just 21 night pics? A tee shirt that you have to pay shipping on, and they won't ship to Europe? And the kiss video all chopped up on a screen the size of a postage stamp? Way to go Prince! You did it again! Sterogum? I signed up and got some of the best Prince music made in the last decade. Friends of mine got member tix for L.A. plus 3 free Jay Leno tix. The video section is great (and will be better once they fix it a little).

1) He had a website. It worked. You could get the stuff you wanted and poke around. Why in the world he ever shut it down is beyond me. Now he has something that in concept is cool, but is really sub par to what he had. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. 2) Technology has come a LOOOOOG way. Other sites have mastered the art of getting music out there and having video you can watch. For something that supposed to be cutting edge, the basics aren't even there. Exactly! The first NPGMC = took an hour to DL a SONG. It was dial up back then, now the technology is 100 times better. The site looks like a promo tool for the blow hard web designer. What a huge step backwards. Fans downloading files that are corrupt and can't even be unzipped. Fans downloading songs that are not even tagged correctly with artist/song/album. The simplest things that a 5th grade can do..not being done. Prince should ditch the guy that created this site and start from scratch. Ask the fans what they would wish for from a site and set out to please the fans. Instead of having some vehicle for a web designer to show off and mess up all the basics. Do you think P would put up with this garbage if this guy was a member of his band???? Prince is going to totally come after the Org after all of this bad publicity. Don't know what he can do or try to do, but I betcha he will try to silence his critics via his lawyers if he can.

Ask his fans? Right. I think it should be a no brainer what we want. Music Videos Merchandise News Other artists have decent sites that are easy to navigate, offer up to date news, and music. I appreciate the effort, but it's no way to deliver content to your fans. I have said this before, there ought to have been a straight forward part to the site AND an exploratory part to it. In fact I think it should have been a regular simple site that you get all of the music and merch and tix. Exactly right, and I don't know what he could possibly do, but given his actions in the past - and all the bad publicity surrounding his website launch coming from the Org and being reprinted elsewhere - nothing would surprise me. * * * *
