He had many options. He, for some reason, chose to close the website down. Simple as that

GET me? The letter was mailed 2 them late on the eve of a National Holiday 2 force their hand and make them comply without any chance of asking 4 an extension of the use of the name NPG until the date of determination... it's a underhanded trick that A LOT of lawyers will readily admit 2 using.

I mean, Come on... U wanted a reason, U got one - whatever the hell else is going on, as it does NOT apply 2 us, is NONE of our business. And a little FYI, Most of us r out here in the real world working 2 make peoples lives BETTER - and that says a wrong is a WRONG. I don't care who the person wronged is... and a truly altruistic person doesn't distinguish between them.

Bottom line, what should any of the members' care what Prince or his legal team would like us 2 do? It's not about HIM - it's about the Music and the access that was taken away from us over a frivilous battle. Else, U explain 2 me how a confused affiliation with an International Superstar's Trademark hurts that business? We're talking an International superstar that is a vegetarian and has won awards 4 honoring nature and championing causes that r against cruelty 2 animals and pro-environment somehow being a detriment 2 A NATURE Publication, explain that?

His hands, the NPGMC's hands were tied - they had 2 shut down on reciept of that letter... and more than likely, advised by counsel, were told 2 NOT say EXACTLY what was going on due 2 pending litigation, thus the new direction BS.

it's nice to see peoples' concern over all this, but frankly, there are far worse things to put a stop to and take a stand for than a petty-assed lawsuit being aimed at a pop star.
