It can't be easy to work with someone like Prince on a project like this, though I'm sure it can be rewarding. I hope now that this stage is over, it can be looked back upon as the good experience they all hoped it would be back when they signed on.

Every artist has an "official site", right? yeah, but you know prince...he doesn't want to be "every artist". still, i think they can do some research if they want and "pick and choose" what works on other artists' web sites, and reshape those things into a killer space for prince's fans. it's just all a matter of how much prince wants to put into it, i suppose. as long as it's not another label-run promotional site, we're good. though that warner bros. site at least had screensavers and whatnot (when you could get it to work correctly). | |

I'm very sure that something new is coming so I'm not in mourning over this at all. The one thing I want out of the new site, if there is one, is easier access to the forums. There were times I couldn't get into the forums or other areas in the site. That stopped me from going there as much as I wanted to. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |

... One hardly needed to be high up in the industry to have noticed those things and concluded something's going on with him, a "wiggy phase" or whatever. I certainly noticed and commented on them, specifically the lack of promotion, in several different forums including NPGMC.

No. The website is going to be back up and running when Tamar's album drops in late August. To me this is a good time to take a break, so he can lock down in rehearsals and revamp the website. | |

i think a lot of us saw prince's growing disinterest in NPGMC...i think he felt an obligation and an affinity to the fans who frequented the site and his shows, and that's the only thing that kept him giving us even the little bits and crumbs that we've gotten over the past couple of years.
also, i think the club was a bit of an albatross in his dealings with major labels. they want 100% of prince all through them, and here he is with this "independent" resource for releasing music. maybe the next phase will be more label-friendly. | |

i've been waiting, waiting, waiting for a European tour... my mother, sister and brother even joined up last year so they could get priority tickets - that's $100 to Mr Nelson for sweet FA....this really sucks!! I've never been really mad at the guy before but now my family have been fleeced i'm raging 
surely we should get refunds or free membership of whatever this next big thing is they are rattling on about. 'til you're burnin' up | |
