Anyone else having trouble playing the files?

Pop-up blocker and firewall is disabled.

I used Explorer, not AOL.

I was still online when I tried to play them.

Everything worked fine with TAC, but I'm geting an unidentified error on WMP9!

Working fine over here though. The video started playing when i clicked the link, and i was able to dl the video as well. Did you get the vid or just the wma?

All my other NPGMC downloads don't work, either!

Must be at my end, cuz everything is set like it should be.

Everything works fine, now!

I had to re-install WM Player 10 from the Microsoft website.

So, there might have been some updates to the software (v.10)

FYI in case anyone has a problem, also!

BTW, the lyrics to "Black Sweat" are attached to the d/l! cool

I've also been having problems downloading. I'm getting a message that says "The Security certificate for this site has been revoked. This site should not be trusted" I haven't changed my internet options. Anyone know what's changed on NPGMC?

In what way are the lyrics attached to the download? I used Internet Explorer to Right Click and "Save As", b/c I couldn't figure out what the corresponding action was called (or how to do it) on Firefox -- anyway, all I got was a WMA file....

On the download screen, there are instructions to view and print "the PDF file," and then use that as a CD cover in the jewel case - but how do I get to this PDF? Are these the lyrics? I should've waited - much as I hate DRM *period*, i-tunes' "FairPlay" beats the crap outta WMA MicroSuck boosheet.

Oh yeah, and it wouldn't play, despite multiple attempts this morning. I know I'll get it to play eventually when I get home tonight, but that could very likely require me to reinstall Media Player, and whatever else kind of computer hassle. And I'm having some computer issues right now, so it's slooooow.

DRM-encrusted downloads are ass and a half.

downloaded both for .77 each. hell i can't get a hamburger for that price. now i listen to 3 cuts off 3121 on cd anytime i want! (plus fury)....BSweat ends so abruptly, i know the album version gotta be slammin headbang
the BLB is actually BETTER than the SNL version (you can actually hear Prince singing).

I don't even have iPod, but I've heard this so many times,
I've become an expert geek

1.rip the song to cd using WM Player

2.import the song from same cd to pc

3.import song to iPod

I had the same problem with other downloads- I had to burn a CD from windows media player and then import the cd into I-tunes. It solved the I-pod problem

I've got the same problem with Iriver. When I want to put B,L&B on my MP3-Player it doesn't work. No problem with Black Sweat though. Very strange indeed... hmmm

"BLACK SWEAT" is a fast Burn record. Aftr two listens, I'm BORED. Pretty simple song with no suprises to listen for.. Compare this to underproduced songs like "Kiss" and "Sign O" "When Doves.." I still find hidden shit on those songs, well not really, but they definitely had lots of stuff going on in the background and much more originality. IT's an OK tune, but by Prince standards, not much goin on. After 3 listens, it gets tired.

Here's some advice to you and others on this thread:

USE REALPLAYER TO PLAY AND BURN THE FILES.

All you need to do, when trying to play or burn them on realplayer is add them to your library and click play then you will be ask to OK an UPDATE which you must agree to at least once or twice and you're on your way to no problems with NPGMC!

I've never been able to download anything from the music store. I always get the message: "Secure storage protection error. Restore your licenses from a previous backup and try again." Which I don't get. I've never downloaded music from them before, so how could I have licenses to backup? This is the message I get when I try the free download first. Last time, I paid for the song first, then realized I couldn't get it. The money went to Hurricane Katrina victims anyway, so I didn't mind getting ripped off. So I guess I will just have to drive to a store and buy the CD single. Ugh. And I want so bad to put this on my MP3 player today.

Your iPod won't support the crummy .wma file that's got DRM protection. Use Windows Media Player (PC only...the Mac version doesn't support disc burning) to burn the track to a CD, then use iTunes to re-import the track as an mp3, AAC, or whatever you'd like. Then you can transfer it to your iPod. It's a waste of a blank CD, but hey, those are only like 5 cents a piece.

Switters, I experienced that before, just burn the song to a CD-R then on Itunes U have the option to import the burned CD or any CD to your files. Afterwards go to IPOD update. Now its on your IPOD...lol
