Discussion for those who attended the "Piano and a Microphone" tour

Prince took his "Piano and a Microphone" tour to Australia in 2016. I wasn't able to get tickets to his Melbourne show because they sold out like hot pancakes. But I heard good reviews of the show.

To those that attended: what was the atsmophere like? Did Prince look hip, healthy, energetic, etc? And the performances were enjoyable?

I was at the second show on the 16th, while by friend attended both on that night. The first show (listening to the bootleg) is quite emotional and while the crowed was of course very responsive, the second show was almost ear-splitting.

From the moment the introduction music started playing and Prince's silhouette dawned the stage there was an energy I had never felt before (and I've been to a lot of concerts!). Wearing his light-up shoes, he walks over the the piano and sreamed "MEEEEELBOUUUURNE!", the power of his voice rumbled the inside of my chest.

From there on, it was an interesting mix of an audience that wanted to party and a Prince in mourning. He balanced it incredibly well.

Finishing the show with Purple Rain, he walks off stage leaving an audience wanting more. We cheered for a solid 20 minutes (seriously!) until eventually coming to grips with the fact that he wouldn't be doing an encore.

Always cry 4 love, never cry 4 pain.
