It would be fun to see Prince who appears as hologram quotes Leviticus or something about how idolatry can destroy your body and mind, and continue with a show being that he cant stop this paisley park estate show for stupid masses...

Sounds cheesy and another example of how the Estate has no one looking out for the integrity of his musical legacy. He was not Elvis.

You are right. There will be no hologram of P.

They said P will be on film on a screen from a prior live performance.

There will be musicians playing in real time on stage.

I’m planning to get tickets but it would be nice to know who’s part of the band before ordering them. That’s why I won’t spend $500 or $1000 on celebration tickets because when you order them you know nothing about the itinerary or whose participating. That’s a lot of money to spend to not know what you’re getting up front.

When I first read I thought they were going to show a concert on the big screen. Now I understand it is an screen with a band in front of it, just like Elvis as mentioned before.

Sorry, but I just hate the idea. I understand the thing with Elvis and folks that have never seen him. But this, with Prince, this soon. I personally wouldn’t even go if they payed me to attend. Damn, this almost hurts! I know they need money, but can’t they do it with just a little dignity.

Why don’t they dust of some filmed concerts and play those at cinemas? The recent Sign ‘O The Times movie got me going.

Prince clearly stated in a interview how he felt about Holograms. He said it was evil and he did not ever want a hologram in his likeness and he goes more into the reasons he felt that way. It’s on record people. Prince did not want a hologram of himself EVER.

.

God, I hope they aren't planning to do that!! mad

Why not just make a concert film? Why do I have to see other artists try to duet with a backing video and failing badly, no one wants to see other artists.

because they think prince is Elvis! Bloody hell Prince filmed nearly every show he ever did. Set up a website for music and videos, and watch us hardcore put up the money!

$361.59 for 3 tickets in a wheelchair accesible section...insane. I wanted to go, but I can't afford that.

Because prince is best enjoyed with others?? These type of events pay homage
To how he brought the music to us, secretly, last minute, fluidly and as live as possible.

what i am saying is, there is more than enough concerts to do both! The ones that arent the best quality they could still sell to us hardcore, through a website etc, and maybe that will happen.

Yes you are correct there is more than enough to do both.
But if they did that folks would become lazy and not gather, therefore
Losing the essence of Prince which we all bring to an event.
But I feel there is no surer finality of him being gone than when
His fans no longer gather. Imo

Target Center has confirmed that this is handled by the same people who created a similar experience for the Elvis estate: https://www.graceland.com...stage.aspx .

Maybe they're testing it to see if it's something they can take on tour, as well? hmmm

Maybe they will when the estate is settled. Realized if they take this on tour they can make a lot of more money then streaming concerts and that it actually takes money to set up a business for streaming.

I think once the probate is done the estate can start to sell that footage and music but it takes money to get it off the ground. Hell even Prince struggled a bit in his later years getting things done.

It takes money.

I would join a concert when they would bring it to Germany or Switzerland.

I don´t think it is morally reprehensible.

Wait, I'm confused. I wonder what type of seating celebration ticket holders will have at the Target Center...??

They said VIP would get something in rows 1-15 and GA would be premium seating. It doesn't look like there was a mad rush for tickets for non Celebrations tickets. A friend of mine who isn't doing Celebration got 3rd row.

Well I personally think it's kind of shady that the day after the deadline to purchase Celebration Tickets, they announce this. What's the point of The Celebration? It just puts a bad taste in my mouth.
