Why Was NPG Redondo Beach, California Show Cancelled?

Does anyone have any inside info as to why this show was cancelled? It was slated for May 22 and Andre Cymone was going to sing lead, which was super exciting to me. I bought tix, then a couple weeks later I got an email "Show has been cancelled, your credit card will be credited." Huh?

I wish u heaven

I'm no insider. Some people here ARE. But....surmising from the couple of times i went and checked back on ticket availability, the entire orchestra section was only filled about 4 rows deep. ... no lie. And that was up until the day they cancelled it. I'm pretty sure it's due to lack of demand/ZERO promotion.

I found out about it by obviously googling Prince nearly every dang day since the 21st

(*edit) ALSO. ...I GOTTA ADD I AM HORRIBLY DISAPPOINTED IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. I've never seen that NPG live. I'd bought 4 third row seats. A pair were gifts to my boss and her beau.
