I've been to BB Kings a few times. It's on the smaller side. They have a few set-ups. Typically it's set up with tables and people eat and drink while they watch the show. I've been there a few times where there weren't any tables and it was more an open general admission set-up.

Lucky you! I was too poor and far away to get to a Prince concert back then... sad

Yes! We have a group of four, so far.

And for the other poster, BB Kings is wide and shallow. You'll be very close. There are a handful of booths on one side. (seats about 40, sold out instantly. But who's gonna sit anyway??) The rest will be GA, standing room.

They say 1,200 people. I say like... 800. We just went there for the Liv/Shelby/judith show. But it's awesomely small and I think we are gonna blow the roof off the place. excited headbang
And the MUSIC continues...forever...

I've been to BB Kings. It's very small. Should be a great show with a great view.

Coming over from the UK for the long weekend Thursday to Monday to see the The Revolution at BB Kings, I last came to NY in 2000, any recommendations for must see things to see/do? good restaurants/bars etc, I know its NY so everything is there, more wondering if anything the locals can recommend rather than being stung at the tourist traps, any Princely things worth seeing? is anyone planning any meet ups?

I'll be there! Room was pretty full with Liv, Shelby & Judith but this will be packed. Hope to get a decent seat.

Well here is what's interesting, I ordered my tickets within minutes of them going on sale. I selected and assumed I received VIP section as that's what I chose and what printed but tix also say standing room only but seats 46 and 47. Very confusing. From initial chart it looked like I have a floor booth seat. I paid $78 ea. The venue setup for Shelby and Liv had plenty of seating with very few standing. Same for the Time show I saw few yrs back. Does anyone recall pricing?

I paid $38 + $9 booking fee for each ticket, I was surprised when the ticket had GENADM with a unique row/seat number for each ticket, VIP seated was all sold on the pre-sale when I got my tickets.

Sorry for the late response, I didn't see this thread before.

I called the venue before tix went on sale. The woman I talked to said there are only 6 or 7 VIP booths on the side. Maybe 42 seats. The rest of the place will be empty, standing room only.

We were there for the Liv/Shelby show and it seemed to me there were more permanent booths than that, one row at the back of the dance floor, one row on the far side (stage right). Dunno, maybe they come out, too. The rest was all movable tables and chairs.

Not sure why there'd be a row or seat # on genadm? shrug
And the MUSIC continues...forever...

I'll be there with my wife and two boys. Took my 14 year old to see Prince on the Welcome to American tour in NJ when it came around. My 6 year old never got to see Prince but knows lots of his songs and can't wait.

Going next Wednesday to the other show at Webster hall with my 19 year old daughter, also a big Prince fan. He lifted her up onto the stage and danced with her on the Musicology Tour at MSG in 2004.

Will be emotional for sure, but looking forward to it.

I was there with my girlfriend and left before they took the stage.

I like The Revolution and want to support them, but 45 minutes of a DJ as your "opening act", sorry guys, without Prince you are an opening act. And to have standing GA???? Really???? I have been there for Sheila, The Time, Kid Creole and George Clinton, they all have tables so you can sit and eat and enjoy.

I am not standing for 45 minutes for you to put on an hour set.......just my feelings0.

Because of their half-baked mistakes, we get ice cream, no cake; all lies, no truth; is it fair to Kill the YOUTH ~~ Party Up

I was there too I was on the line since four. They did not let us in until after 6. The show started at 9. When I got inside I have a choice of seating or standing. I decicide to sit but I was not close to the stage. If I was to go to the stage I have to wait more on my foot. My feet and knees are killing now. So I got seated with tall people. They wanted to pack as much people as possiable that is why they took away the table. It was a great show.
