Tonight's screening of the "Welcome to Australia" concert film at Paisley Park

Is anyone attending tonight's screening of the "Welcome to Australia" concert film?

If so, please be safe because of the major snow storm in Minneapolis.

Also, please share your experience of the Paisley Park screening with us.

Thank you and take care.

By the way, anything related to Paisley Park has been moved to fan gatherings...

It is dangerously cold here in the next 24 hours I suggest that they canceled the event.

I wish! I'm off to work soon tho sad The storm has passed for the most part - the snowfall anyway - so roads are cleared but temps are going to be dangerously low which will be a factor for anyone going out tonight. I hope they still get a good turn out for this at PP. Looking forward to the reports later smile

I sure hope they release this on DVD one day so everyone can enjoy Prince live. I was there that night on the 18th May - it was a great concert but he was so annoyed as the staff at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre did not enforce the "no filming, no phones" rule and he actually cut the show a little shorter as so many had their phones out. I went again when he returned for the second show on the 26th May and it was a totally different show - there were NO phones allowed and the staff at the centre were very stern in this not even allowing us to take pre-photos and if we got our phone out beforehand even just to send a text we were told we would be removed. It was so obvious the entertaiment centre got into trouble from Prince for that first show. The second show was actually so much better, the horns were out and he was just off the hook with energy and excitement and the whole place was jumping. It was a moment I will never forget - I could not beleive how two shows could feel so different to each other. The first one was very theatrical but the second show was very spontaneous with its set list and vibe. I feel so privledged to have been there and also the last time at the Opera House show in February. I do hope that these shows get released, they were magic.

Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

First things first, they have moved Prince's ashes from the center of the atrium and hung them above the kitchen in the atrium. The show was awesome. No sound issues at all. The highlights for me were AnohterLover, Empty Room, and How Come. They cut the show off at Purple Rain.

Moved the ashes to abouve the kitchen? Now that sounds pretty odd - but I guess it must look OK? Such a shame they cut the show short you guys were watching though, that is a little disrespectful in a way to Prince and especially on that song. Was there a time limit or something?

You can't really see the whole urn anymore. It's kind of hard to explain, but it's protruding from the wall. They actually cut the show off after Purple Rain, according to princevault.com he went on to play Everyday People, The Dance Electric, and Kiss. It was nice to see something unreleased.
