I have been able to see some single tickets, pretty good ones too, though it seems groups aren't really coming up anymore (at least right now), so keep trying!

I believe that I read about how Randy Phillips and Londel McMillan were working on televising the tribute. Especially NOW, there is a venue change to the Xcel Energy Center there is much less capacity, only so many tickets will be available for sale (just under 20,000). I like many of you, have not heard any talk of Rhonda Smith, Renato Neto, Eric Leeds, The Revolution, Rosie Gaines, Tamar Davis and many other phenomenal talents that Prince mentored and championed during his illustrious career --- join the lineup. However, I just feel in my heart that Sheila E and others will provide the element of surprise (as Prince always did) and make themselves available. I did see a television video with one of Prince's siblings and he said that they will not fully disclose the entire lineup, so that there is an element of surprise and suspense for the tribute. Finally, what I would not give besides my children and husband for us to be talking about Prince himself preparing for a fantastic performance in Minnie that is a must see for all of his family. smile I am still grieving his passing. I suspect that it will take me some time. So glad that I found a community where I share my feelings openly. My family is tired of listening to Prince music and I can no longer talk to them about what he meant to me.

I can totally relate to this. All of this "stuff" - tributes, memorials, gatherings large and small, here and there - is still little consolation for the loss we are grieving. I'm better, but still a very long way from being ok. Almost w/o even thinking about it I seize any opportunity to celebrate his life hoping it will lift the heaviness I've felt since his passing. The celebrations are great tho bittersweet. Behind the smiling, laughing, dancing, singing is still the reality that he's not here and that's just sad. This place has helped me a lot as well since my family is like many of yours. They can't understand how I could still be so affected by this, and for the most part I try not to bring Prince up anymore and spare myself the eye rolls and general lack of support and understanding. I'm extremely grateful I live in MN near enough to Prince's "world" to take advantage of the local events and to just be close to where he was. It would be killing me to be too far away right now. Yet I also suspect I wouldn't have been as big a fan if I didn't live in MN. My feelings about Prince are due in large part to the fact he lived here. I've always felt a strong familial loyalty towards him, always quick to defend or support him. He was one of us. I do find some comfort knowing he felt safe and loved here. Anyway, hopefully this tribute will bring another degree of healing for his many fans not only here but around the world. Thanks again to Ben and the mods who have created and maintained this place for us to mourn and share freely.

Also was not able to get tix even tho I was online at 10. This is why they should not allow the resellers to buy. Like all of you, I really wanted to go, but refuse to pay 5x the price to a bully just to go!!!! Prince would definitely not like the way the ticketing was handled, and the people tring to take advantage of hs fans. mad Very sad!!!!!!!!!

I just logged into Ticketmaster at 10:30 WST and there are still single seats available in all price ranges. Even the $19.99 tickets although the one I pulled up was behind the stage.

I'm glad I bought when I did. I might be cheap, but I will pay extra not to sit behind the stage. I keep checking back in case anything good gets released, but it's all very bad tickets now.

I bet being in Minni...is awesome. I never realized that it was such a creative community. I would have trekked up there a long time ago. All of this has really awakened my being even more. I thought this morning...like how and where have I been to have missed all of these opportunities to experience his music LIVE? Like what have I been doing? Yes, I got married, worked, had a few children and started a few businesses AND have enjoyed life but there are so many things that I want to do. I was within walking distance of the World Trade Center 18 months before it diasppeared. My husband said...itweill be here when we visit next time. Next time never came around. It is gone. From this point forward, I am going to stop putting off the things in my heart to do, to explore (in terms of travel), to meet, to live. I am not melting down...I promise. I have just decided to draw a line in the sand. I am not waiting. I am going to do the things for people, my family and within my heart that I should do. Many times...with the hustle and bustle of life we (I) have forgotten to dream...to explore...to live. How can we (I) fulfill the essence of who (I) we are (am) if we do not step out of our comfort zone? As in Marianne Williamson's poem Return To Love...'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine...'

Prince lived that life...unapologetically. He simply did not care. He masterfully accomplished (I think) THE WORK what his spirit was sent here to complete. Anyway...not trying to hog the mic or stand on the post. I am going to do my part. Do MY WORK. biggrin

I hope that I will be able to meet some of you face to face. This is a beautiful community. As I said, earlier. Wanted to also note that, I am so appreciative of the ones who maintain and moderate this community. It has been a place of warm, love, support and affirmation of my kindred affection (and love) for The Purple One.

How does that happen? How does stub hub get tickets and how do they get away with over charging for them? How do they get their hands on a large number of tickets so quickly then turn around and offer them for sale so quickly? I guess I'm naive because I don't get how this happens. I'm super excited tho as I have tried to get tickets to Prince shows in the past and was never, ever able to do it. Things sold out immediately. Piano and a microphone being the most recent example for me anyway.

Perhaps they will do a second concert and won't give all the Wild ticketholders first dibs. I am convinced that many of the tickets on sale through the vendors are Wild fan resells. They need to let his FANS buy the tickets direct, not from a reseller. Still VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT WER AREN'T GOING. Still can't get over the fact that he is gone. I get very sad.

Again, I don't understand how s*** like this is allowed to happen. I still say hold on and perhaps another org member will not need theirs perhaps or more tickets will be released idk. This part of it seems like it wasn't handled well. But as I said before, I have never had good luck getting into any of Prince's shows in the past either whether they were at another venue or PP. Sold out right away.

Prince Tribute concert at Xcel center is a Disgrace.

I’m disappointed and I think Prince would be too. I was expecting a memorial that was talked about, with Prince’s family of close friends and musicians (famous ones unannounced) that he played with over the years and friends to speak about him. Instead, it will be a big time star studded for-profit show with ticket prices as high as $1,250. Furthermore, the event will be big business for ticket scalpers whom Prince loathed and will make a fortune being able to purchase up to 6 tickets, something Prince never would have allowed.

Waiting to purchase tickets at the first second, the concert was sold out in seconds. When I realized the outrageous ticket prices I never would I bought just for the principle of it. The funniest thing is people spent a fortune and yet Prince won’t even be there.

I am still am mourning Prince’s passing. Last October I stood 3-4 feet away from him on a 2 foot stage and he played till 3:00 AM. I wish I could lock those 4 hours and re-live that night forever, watching in disbelief the legend right in front of me. What a priceless night that cost me only $10 (included parking). God I miss him, I'm so sad he isn't around to play in his park with all his toy's doing what he loved most... - Mike Rendahl

I'm tired of ALL these "tributes." It's all a money grab. Prince was never about cheesy nostalgia. Bust open the Vault! Create new art, at least an interesting documentary with something to say.

Ticketmaster has changed horribly over the years. You can now only get decent tickets through their app or by calling. I called and I was one minute too early so I couldn't get through they made me hang up. I called back instantly and it said all agents are busy call back later. I tried on my computer they do not handle it the same way they used to. I could not get anything on my computer even though I was just trying for one ticket. Finally got to a person on the phone and didn't get nearly the kind of ticket that I wanted to get but I got a ticket. With the way TicketMaster works, the way it always used to work, was that it would search around and pick out what it thought was the best ticket, if you told it you didn't like it you could say research and then most of the time it would give you a better ticket. It doesn't seem to do that anymore it's random whether it's worse or whether it's better ticket. And that's only on the app on your phone you can't do anything with your computer. Okay enough about getting tickets immediately.

Yes you can get tickets through Ticketmaster sometime after the tickets go on sale and before the concert happens. I don't know if they're doing it for this tribute or not but for a regular concert each member of the band gets a certain number of comp tickets to give away to whoever they want. If they decide after a week or two or whenever they don't want to give them to anybody, they are released back to Ticketmaster for sale to the public and they are usually really good seats. so if you search Ticketmaster and get that lucky time when that band member gives back those tickets you can get some awesome seats at awesome prices. It's very risky but if you can't get one now I would just try every day or however frequent you want to see if something pops up and either do it by the phone or on the cell phone app. Do not use your computer or laptop. I do know someone who got seats next to mine that got them this way that's how I know that they do it. And I had good seats

I was able to get 2 of the $150 tickets. My seats are pretty good, section 120 row 25. I was trying on my desktop, laptop, and phone app but I ended up scoring these over the phone on the automated line. Why would they allow season ticket holders for hockey to have first dibs? If true this was handled poorly and further evidence that we could have filled Viking Stadium even with short notice.

I was in a meeting and my friend grabbed us seats behind the stage which is all she could get. I might just skip it. lol.

Hey Carrie... Just FYI, that's not an Xcel Center website. It's a cleverly named URL for a reseller site.

Wow I lucked out. I was on right at 10 and needed 3 in the $100 range. I clicked lower level and club as I didn't want floor. Corner seat pulled up half way up lower level. MEH I hate corner seats I always get behind someone 7 feet tall. Not thinking they would sell out this quickly I said I'll see if i can get better. This time I just did club level. Got 3 in section 24 row 1. About where the sound board is. I'll take them.

I do with they would of done like Garth Brooks did and you pay with credit card and the only way you can get into the arena is with that credit card. That would of kept scalpers away.

One of the guys involved in the production of this show, Randy Levy, was on local radio morning show KQRS last Friday. You can listen to it here (stars around the 24 minute mark). This guy is in the concert business and has worked for Prince in the past. Knowing someone like this is involved makes me better feel about the whole thing. Having Morris Day lead with NPG as the house band is perfect.

Check your orders. I did mail which i normally don't do however since I brought a parking pass this was my only option. Then I just checked my order and said there was a delay and tickets won't be available to mail until Oct 6th. Well I was planning on leaving the 11th before mail came. So i called ticketmaster and they switched my tickets over to will call. Is anyone else getting a message like this?

I didn't see the message when checking out, but I saw it on the event info this weekend on Ticketmaster website. I chose mobile phone delivery because it also said that printable tickets wouldn't be available until 48 hours before the concert and I didn't want to worry about having to print them out in the hotel business center or something lol

Mine are e-tickets but they said you can't get them until the same time all the rest are released on the 6th. But their recording said if you didn't have your e-ticket, you could swipe the credit card you paid with. I got a confirmation email but it's not a ticket.

I must of missed it. with the parking pass it wouldn't let me do e-tickets. so i had to do mail or will call. I didn't see them not mailing until the 6th otherwise I would of done will call from the start. They told me the parking place usually has a list of people picking up tickets using will call so just show them my order and I should be good.

We weren't able to get any tickets via Ticketmaster, there 800 number or the Xcel 800 number. At 11:30 AM Central Time, we were informed snubhub.com (a reseller) had tickets. Paid double the price off the regular ticket. That sucks. All the $19.99 tickets behind the stage are $45-$51. We all need to complain to Xcel and Ticketmaster about resellers getting 100s of tickets to events and doubling the face value price. Just checked and snubhub.com still has a lot of tickets. (Sorry, MF up against the wall!)

We opted for behind the stage 200 level (?!!!) so we can sing and dance and do are thing. As long as we are in the building, its all good. Then again, who knows who much closer we may get the night of the gig!

Looking forward to hanging out with everyone! Maybe some after parties, meet ups and going out to eat.
