Same! I refreshed it a million times, and it kept saying no tickets available. That's nuts!

^ Same on not getting anything. I'm pissed! But I was ambivalent about going anyway. I'm still trying but also kinda don't give a fuck. How did people get tickets at all?

I was secretly hoping that the general public didn't know about this, so it would be easy to get tickets this morning, but apparently not! The platinum ticket prices are outrageous, so no thanks. I may still swing by Minneapolis around that time, take a PP tour, and maybe meet some of you folks who will be in town also!

I believe that I read about how Randy Phillips and Londel McMillan were working on televising the tribute. Especially NOW, there is a venue change to the Xcel Energy Center there is much less capacity, only so many tickets will be available for sale (just under 20,000). I like many of you, have not heard any talk of Rhonda Smith, Renato Neto, Eric Leeds, The Revolution, Rosie Gaines, Tamar Davis and many other phenomenal talents that Prince mentored and championed during his illustrious career --- join the lineup. However, I just feel in my heart that Sheila E and others will provide the element of surprise (as Prince always did) and make themselves available. I did see a television video with one of Prince's siblings and he said that they will not fully disclose the entire lineup, so that there is an element of surprise and suspense for the tribute. Finally, what I would not give besides my children and husband for us to be talking about Prince himself preparing for a fantastic performance in Minnie that is a must see for all of his family. smile I am still grieving his passing. I suspect that it will take me some time. So glad that I found a community where I share my feelings openly. My family is tired of listening to Prince music and I can no longer talk to them about what he meant to me.

I understand. I have stopped talking about Prince to my friends. They just don't understand. I really wish I could be in Minni for the tribute. I pray they are successful in having it televised. Even a pay-per-view would be nice. I, too, believe that there will be surprises, but Sheila E. and Rosie Gaines will not likely be among them. Sheila has another gig that day and Rosie Gaines has been in poor health; although, I did hear that she has been improving. All of the band members and proteges you mentioned would be great. I would also add ALL of the original members of The Time, including Jesse Johnson, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, and Jerome Benton. I would even LOVE to see Alexander O'Neal make an appearance!!!

I never even thought of Alexander O'Neal...that would be divine. Thanks for affirming my sentiment. My husband and children just laugh at me. It is okay, as Prince stood for TRUTH and LIGHT and AUTHENTICITY. Which I can dig because I have not always fully embraced that...but surrendering to being my true authentic self 100%. Not caring about what others think of me, doing THE WORK that I came here to do. Thanks for finding my initial comment on like the last or almost last page. smile You all ROCK!!

Try calling Ticketmaster instead of online. I couldn't get any online but did get my ticket via phone.

Ticketmaster. You'd purchase them like normal. Just not on "opening" day.

foreverfanpurpleman said: Thank you for replying. I've never had luck doing it your way to be honest but then again I'm just the occasional concert-goer. So where exactly do you find these last minute tickets? Does the venue or show's organizers suddenly release more tickets later on?

That is comforting to know and I hope that it works out that way. I saw a ticket online today for $53,650 for on the floor to the Tribute. H to the N...not when the highest ticket on Ticketmaster was for $1250 in VIP. Prince would not be happy with this greed. Anywho, I will continue to check. I just found it ironic that the only seats available were VIP seats today on TM. I plan to travel from the ATL for the concert. I plan to tour Paisley Park, visit Electric Fetus, Dakota and the food establishment of the people who prepared P's food for the last years. I have a few other places to hit but those are my main venues to visit. Anywho...I gotta get back to work so that I will have more than enough to pay for my Minnie trip. I hope that it will not be too cold. My Dad said that the cold is no joke up there. smile

I just called Ticketmaster again and there's still tickets at reasonable prices. 800-745-3000. Go to the automated express ticket option. Not sure about the view but if you want tickets, I would suggest calling this number. Good luck!

I had two browser windows open, the TM phone app, a browser on my phone, and called the automated service. All of them worked, but the automated phone number gave me the best seat. It seems like if you refresh too many times on the browser and app, it won't show you tickets anymore. The browser on my phone is STILL showing great seats at the $150 level, as is the phone number (1-866-448-7849).

It gave me section 102, row 19. smile

I finally got a ticket. I should have been less of a cheapskate from the beginning. My seat's not great but still expensive. At least I didn't get it from SeatGeek.

I'm happy for those that are going. And yes, who is Tori Kelly? I hope they add others.

Tori Kelley was part of the BET tribute of Prince (though I personally am not in the know to say how she is connected).

Wonder why Janelle Monae isn't going to be there - that was a surprise to me.

Janelle has a movie coming out in October, shortly after the tribute and another one in December. She's probably busy doing promotion for the movies.

It's been all over the news here since they announced it last week. Was even on the front page of the star trib last week. I was unsure about going to the box office but it worked out ok this time. My DIL was also trying online and she got nothing. So i waa able to tell her she cpuld quit trying. But keep trying different ways. I think the online system can be the most frustrating. It also makes a difference I think whether you want two tickets or six tickets, how much you want to spend per ticket, etc. No way I would spend the prices some folks have mentioned here. The other thing is that folks will be on here trying to get rid of tickets they don't need for one reason or another so don't give up yet smile

I feel like the worlds biggest idiot right now. Had $40 tickets right off the bat and refreshed by mistake. After over an hour of trying and calling with no luck, I'm giving up. I'll probably just wait outside the venue and hope for the best. Definitely can't afford the $150 nosebleeds they have on stubhub.

No Revolution Andre or Dez - I cant bring myself to spend the money to fly out there, pay for a hotel if they're not included as well.

Add to that sitting behind the stage or some ish like that.

At least at First Ave - everywhere you are is good, and close to the action so you dont have ot watch a screen. I'm skipping this one sad

As on the fence I was about going, this sealed the deal. I could not access the site at all, all morning to get tickets. Then to see the tickets IMMEDIATELY on StubHub is absolutely horse shit.

Fuck them. If I randomly decide to spend the money and time to go, I'll get tickets from the scalpers outside the venue. They are more honest than Ticketmaster.

Still it's nice to know, when our bodies wear out, we can get another
