No Revolution Andre or Dez - I cant bring myself to spend the money to fly out there, pay for a hotel if they're not included as well.

Add to that sitting behind the stage or some ish like that.

At least at First Ave - everywhere you are is good, and close to the action so you dont have ot watch a screen. I'm skipping this one sad

Sadly im with you. What is the reason they wont be there

I set up a meetup event on FB in case people want to get together. I'm not incredibly active here, but this is here for people to connect if they'd like to. The restaurant is very close to Xcel.

my impression is, the dance parties at the muse will be a nice complimentary addition to the tribute. 1000 capacity for 3 nights will give the hardcore fans another fun thing to do while in town, something more family-size. maybe the family wants to distance themselves from all these money-making events (that are necessary to try to keep paisley park financially viable) and this is the best time, coinciding with the tribute, to reach out to fans coming from afar. they owe us nothing but are doing this gesture which seems really cool to me cool

All of the fams/fans going to the historical official memorial Prince tribute consisting of an awesome line up of performers are now able to attend additional events that are being organized by Prince's family!

That is awesome news for all of u.

U will also be able to enjoy the Paisley Park tour & eat Prince's favorite delicious recipes cooked by his own personal chef!

In addition, there are also those wonderful Prince film screenings where fams/fans worldwide will gather and enjoy each other's company.

U are bound to have an AMAZING time!

U are all very fortunate.

This seems like an incredible gesture to me as well! Will be super special! Really hope to attend. Will keep an eye out on details/tickets. Friday night will be perfect for that, at least for me smile

So it looks like the "family" is stepping all over this tribute concert that, like it or not, is billed as the "official" tribute. I'm sure there are a lot of people who purchased tickets that's aren't up to speed on all the politics behind the scenes between the family, Bremer, Londell etc. They're going to see competing events and think WTF? And by saying "there are plans in the works for YOU", that's essentially saying this tribute concert isn't for the fans. What a clusterf**k. whether the family was totally on board with this tribute concert or not they need to suck it up and support it. not doing so it's just going to turn it into an embarrassment which is the last thing Prince needs. pa1Me.jpg

yeahthat

I was super excited to see what other events they had in store. But at this point, the 'cattiness' behind this...makes me want to steer clear of whatever they have planned. That is NOT what Prince would have wanted...a continental dvide like this disbelief

Plus...how much longer are they going to wait before sharing these precious details? It's 3 weeks away for crying out loud.

What are the dynamics of Londell, the family and Bremer? I have not found much info on Londell and Bremer, etc.

I am looking forward to opportunity of THE Prince Experience....just learned that I can even have some vittles prepared by Prince's chef at PP. That is one less stop that I have to make.

I always choose to find the silver lining in the cloud. Hope those who have the desire to go to the Tribute seize the opportunity. Happy Thursday, y'all.

I'm thinking it would great to see all the associated artists but don't understand why John Mayer & Christina Aguilera are on the list and never even heard of Luke James. I can't make the trip anyway but as a Prince fan would have no interest in seeing unrelated artists at a tribute concert. Just sayin'...

Just wanted to let u know that the Paisley Park Tours website has been updated and it now states that it's best to pre-order The Taste Experience ahead of time via their online store because it will be available in a limited way on a daily basis during the tours.

Hope this helps and enjoy!

It was always billed as a Tribute Concert. They could have (and SHOULD have) done a memorial weeks ago. I'd say, this is it.

All of this is basically pointless to a huge percentage of Prince fans.

I agree that it is pointless to the fans. Even though Prince was a friend, as well as, influenced by Stevie Wonder; it makes me sick to my stomach to be left with the memory of Stevie Wonder on stage SINGING PRINCE SONGS! Enough already, I also feel that being left with John Mayer singing songs is abominable too. I am still trying to remember Prince as he was, unique and special, unlike anyone else. Please release some new music from the vault where I can have new memories of PRINCE. Not the sideshow of all these other artists performing his music. I am still trying to get that Jennifer Hudson performance OUT OF MY HEAD. These artists are like scavengers, getting publicity for performing songs by THE GENIUS of Prince, that they never would have been able to do if he was still alive. They should have a worldwide listening party online broadcast live from Paisley Park - "1st time heard New Music from the Vault-Prince"--Now that would be truly a memorial for Prince's fans. Something that people could participate with, No images of Stevie Wonder and Jennifer Hudson left in your head that have to be deleted from your memory. Just saying.

I think it is pointless to be so outraged by the tribute concert at this point. If you don't like it then don't go but don't rain on the parade of those who are attending.

This. And can people stop complaining that everything is about making money? We don't know what the agreement is with Xcel or ticket master. This isn't any diffeeent than other concerts...Metallica was sold out instantly but of course right away tickets showed up on places like stub hub. I don't know why people think this is supposed to magically be different because it's Prince.

Personally, I'm not "outraged". However, if I were to attend, I would be taking long bathroom breaks during Aguilera, Mayer and whomever ever Luke James is. As a Prince fan I have no interest in them or their tribute to Prince. I'd be down for the rest of the show.
